Love Lost
Here you come again, With your eyes a gleam. I don't think you really know What you do to me. I long for your embrace, Although I may never feel it again. I will keep searching for this: A dream I can not attain. Every time I get close You push me away. When I want to give up You ask me to stay. Why must you torture me In such a time of need? All I ask for is affection, But my insecurity is all you feed. I feel like I should run, But something keeps me here. Is happiness so far out of reach That I only return out of fear?
