"'To give style' to one's character - a great and rare art! He exercises it who surveys all that his nature presents in strength and weakness and then moulds it to an artistic plan until everything appears as art and reason, and even the weaknesses delight the eye." -Friedrich Nietzsche cover_vanityfair.jpg "To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Keanu Reeves

You have a definate reflex to his voice. You'll watch the same movie over and over (no matter how good or bad) just to see him in action. His eyes, you feel, are worth staring into for hours at a time. You'll buy a $4 magazine for one photo you already have and an article you know does not contain accurate information. You kiss buses because there's a "Johnny Mnemonic" ad on the side and his face just happens to be at eye level, plus your friends dared you to when you meantioned your urge. OKAY! Maybe that one's just mine! But still us Keanu fans are pretty much alike.

ANYWAY! This is my personal contribution to the whole lot of Keanu-ness on the web. It's not much, but it's all I can do for now. I hope you enjoy it. I'll try to make up something cool soon.... "in the meantime..." ("...let me be that I am and seek not to alter me" *he he*) please sign my guestbook &/or e-mail me with comments and suggestions! *Be sure to check out my Keanu movie tributes which include links, photos and quotes.* Thanks for stopping by!

I've been quoted in the October 2000 issue of Premiere magazine (Sarah Michelle Geller on cover), in the web celebrities/Keanu article. Thanks to the nice person out there who told me! (The editors neglected to do so!)

I have never met Keanu. Yeah, yeah, big deal. Same sob story for all those women (& men I guess too) with good taste on the planet who want to meet him desparately too. BUT I've had not one, not two, but three instances during these 5 years of Ke fandom that I thought I was so close to meeting him I almost died when I didn't.
Of all the horrible things there are to talk about, I hate talking about this the most. Anyone else get that butterfly-wierd feeling in their stomach when they watch a new Keanu movie? Your adrenaline gets up so high you're just constantly soaring? It is the worst feeling in the world when you come crashing down from that high because someone lied to you or there has been a mixup of some sort. (I'm not going to go into any detail of my experiences though. If you want to know, you're going to have to ask me yourself.)

DOGSTAR

Official Dogstar Website Gregg (old guitarist), Rob (on drums) and Keanu (on bass)

Keanu plays bass guitar in this pop-rock trio along with drummer Rob Mailhouse (also an actor; known for roles in Speed, Seinfeld and various other sitcoms), and singer/guitarist Bret Domrose.
I have yet to see them live, though they were in Toronto in 1997.

"It's Tom Petty 20 years ago, in the 90s, playing in the Goo Goo Dolls." -Keanu on Live in Toronto (New Rock, Edge 102), July 17th, 1997.

I've played bass guitar since 1996 (largely influenced by Keanu and Dogstar). Ironically I could've met Dogstar when they came to town (even if I couldn't go into the concert, due to my age), but I had a bass guitar lesson I couldn't cancel.

Tell me if you like this idea...

Instead of an updates section: a section of info on stuff you may not understand or you didn't get enough information on or that you could care less about but *I* thought it was interesting kind of stuff! Starting with:

1."What's that thing on Keanu's neck?"

(I'm the one who is answering this question, by the way!)
