The response and utter hate that people have for the character of "HLotS"'s Detective Paul Falsone, led me to create these pages. The page led to a whole bunch of people writing me, expressing their utter contempt that they had for the character as well.
Nice to know I'm not alone in this :)
Someone suggested that it be a cool idea to put people's ideas/responses to paper, so I decided to add a page of HATE MAIL. Here it is. Anyone wanting to be added to this list, feel free to contact me.

Love the new "Hate Falsone" website. I agree. He's gotta go. And soon. I
picked up next week's TV Guide and whatever you do, do not and I repeat DO
NOT turn to page 30 unless you're ready to hurl chunks. Yes, Supercop is now
among the sexiest stars on television. (excuse me, but retttchhh!) Oh and
Tom Fontana's comment really is choice: "He's a real guy!" As opposed to
what? A fake guy??? What kind of a deal has Seda pulled with the powers that
be? Damn. And to make matters worse (or maybe better, it depends on how you
look at it) Homicide is pre-empted next week by guess what: DATELINE. Again.
This guy has gotta go. Everybody should write NBC, boycott, strike, unite, do
something. We're about to lose the best written, acted and produced show on
network TV because of this jerk. OK. I'm finished ranting. Keep up the good
work.

Well it seems the only person capable of such a gross miscasting of a
character in a tv show is Mel Brooks, having John Seda playing the part of an
italian cop is as bad as Mels spoof of a jewish Native American! No I dont
just hate the new character of FALSONE/CALZONE/GREASEBALL etc., I despise it
with the energy of a thousand suns!! To take a well crafted show that has
sucessfuly integrated at least six new characters over the years and not
missed a beat, then to plop this shallow ,arrogant, and mediocre actor in
with our cast of believable homicide detectives is itself criminal. The
acting equivalent of a fart in church.......I will dutifully contact NBC, the
FBI, the CIA, The DEA, NORAD,SETI, and any other group of FALSONE HATERS I
can muster.
Love the new site Hope the little Greaser is forced to go undercover ,wash
his hair, get a perm, and get promoted to be GAFFNEYS BOY TOY!!
dispisingly yours

Thanks for the page, it's needed !
you've ask for idea for this page, here a few:
1) a section were we can tell why we hate Falsone
2) a section devoted to Falsone-Action!, this would be full of Falsone
outrageous adventure.
3) another one could be entitle " If we had any say it the show here what
we would do with Paul Falsone"
well that's all I can think for now.

Great site you have! Every time I see that little punk Falsone I feel
like my head is going to blow off, to quote the "Big Man" Stanley
Bolander, a REAL character who is long since gone from the show (like
Crosetti, Felton, and now Howard).
But truth be told, Falsone isn't the only fake character on H:LotS.
The first were the politically correct Lt./Capt./Det. Russert and that
whiny jerk Kellerman, but at least they resembled real people early on
and were forced to adjust to the style of the show (and not the other
way around). At least, until the show itself got drowned in pretentious
gimmickry and promptly dumped the unworkable Russert while glamorizing
Kellerman's childish self-pity (i.e. his indictment for alleged bribery
in Arson, his vendetta against Luther Mahoney, his melodramatic suicide
attempt, his stupid brothers, his affair with Dr. Cox, etc.). Also, we
had the snivelling apartment-hunting videographer Brodie; the
air-above-it-all philosophizing of Dr. Cox; and, replacing our
endearingly funky (and woefully underused) Sgt. Howard, that arrogant
know-it-all Ballard, who looks more like a Kim Delaney clone from NYPD
Blue than a REAL cop that Howard personified.
But I digress, this was supposed to be about how much I hate Falsone,
and hate him I do. With his smug "I'm a man-on-a-mission" attitude, the
artifical anguish over the custody problems with his kid, and overall
generic image, the experience of watching this little snot each week at
the expense of the show's original realism and the older characters
makes me want to put a bullet through my head, to quote Beau Felton in
one of his worse moods. On second thought, I'd rather put a bullet
through FALSONE's head.
That's all I have to say about this topic. I hope there'll be more to
come on this site, like a guest book or a comment section with other
peoples' opinions about how much they hate Falsone, because it's
comforting to know that I'm not the only person who hates this little
punk and it's kind of fun reading all sorts of colorful opinions.
Thanks for starting this site.

Thanks for taking the time to provide such a sorely needed service for us
HLOTS junkies. I just got to the point where I could tolerate Kellerman and
they throw this guy at us. I'll be letting the big bird know what I think
of PF. As far as I'm concerned, the best ep this season was the X Files
last week. If you can, maybe you could add a guestbook so we can all vent
our anger and disappointment - just make it obvious it's not for Jon Seda
fanclub types.
From: "Ron Hearn" ( hearn@dowco.com ) AGAIN !!!
I'm new to this group ( alt.tv.homicide ) although I've been watching HLOTS since the Superbowl premiere, I agree with the general feeling about Falzone. Notice that
while all the other men detectives wear jackets, Falzone struts around
with his shirtsleeves rolled up, showing off this hardware. This guy really
belongs with Simone and Sipowicz. In fact, it would be nice to see Andy
kick his ass around a bit. If Fontana has this guy strip down for a love
scene, I'm outta here. That's what ruined NYPDB for me - all the deep,
interpersonal stuff. I'm not optimistic. The days of crusty older
characters like Crocetti and Bolander are long gone, I'm afraid. But
that's just MHO

(maybe more) than I do. Keep up the good work.

From: "Reg Chan"
To Rob:
Which each new episode of Homicide, one will always find new things
to hate about Falsone, and this week's episode didn't disappoint.
While this episode was finally a Pembleton / Lewis story, the character
of Falsone has already done too much damage to the show. No matter
how low his profile is in any episode dominated by our beloved veterans,
his very presence is bound to drag the show down to his macho bullshit
level. Hell, the scene where Falsone and Kellerman pointed their guns at
each other was like a rip-off of Quintin Tarantino for chrissakes! And the
worm went out of his way to upstage Bayliss and used his scenes with him
put to down Kellerman at every opportunity. At least Falsone didn't get
to dominate an entire episode yet again while Pembleton was reduced to
making phone calls and running errands like in the second Law & Order
crossover.
But to me, the worst use of Falsone happened back in last year's
two-part season finale, in which Falsone and Gharty got to work the Felton
murder with Pembleton while Howard and Russert were stuck doing
"women's work" by arranging Beau's funeral. Those episodes (especially
the second part) should have been a strong showcase for Kay Howard,
who was neglected for most of that season. But instead, her last shining
moment was stolen from her by Falsone's macho posturing. And since
this turned out to be Melissa Leo's final appearance on Homicide, the
tactic of using a slick newcomer to upstage her was especially obscene.
But oddly enough, Ballard hasn't been getting much more work to do
than Howard, which makes me think that Homicide is not only turning
into the Falsone: Supercop show, but conceeding that it is just a GUY
show where women exist only as flashy appendages.
What do you think?

Subject: Falsone Haters Unite!!
Hey Rob,
Just wanted to let you know how great I think it is that you have taken
the time to give every true H:LotS fan the forum to express our utter
contempt for the walking waste of screen time that is Jon Seda. This is
probably going to be H:LotS final season and it drives me crazy that
they're wasting episodes on a piece of crap like Falsone. I'm sure I
wasn't alone when I fell on my knees praying that Kellerman would pull
the trigger on the mouthy little snot.
Here are my top ten reasons for hating Paul Falsone.
10. Jon Seda makes Jean-Claude Vandamme look like an Oscar winning
actor.
9. He's really freaking short.
8. His interogation technique in the Box consists of him doing his
Rocky impersonation.
7. Has the bad taste to be interested in Dr. Cox.
6. Falsone is treading on Bayliss's patented "I'm a tortured
detective" routine.
5. Whines about his kid too much. (It's not like we care.)
4. More screen time for Falsone means less screen time for Andre
Braugher.
3. Is defending the memory of the late scum-sucking bottem-feeder
Luther Mahoney.
2. Jon Seda has pictures of Tom Fontana in bed with a thirteen year
old boy. (How else could he be getting so many stories about him?)
And the number one reason to spit on your tv screen when Falsone is on:
1. Falsone can't stop confusing Homicide with Miami Vice.
Thanks again for the page.

The next few letters all came the same day at the same time. Some lone nut Falsone fan took the time to write all this—scary!!
There were 2 or 3 that I didn't bother putting in, because it was very obvious at that point that it was the same person, and was getting tiring. Rants were more or less the same, though there was a few scary paragrapshs where "she" went on about how Braugher was not as intense as Seda was in his role.

look, i didnt write to break balls, but COME ON , Falsone(Jon Seda) is great,
i suggest you rent some of his movies, he is a great charactor actor, he can
play Italians and Latinos!
Give him a chance, he has feelings too ya know, did your mother raise you to
hurt people or drag their names through the mud? Rob, i bet your a great
person, and Jon Seda is just a guy who's making his living just like you and
i. Falsone is just a charactor, Jon Seda is a person. and if i were a betting
man i'd say this was personal.

YET ANOTHER LETTER
From:
I saw your 'I hate Falsone Page and it made me ask myself, why would anyone
hate Falsone? You hate his character Paul Falsone, not Jon Seda. Jon is cute,
a great actor and more. The character he plays is what you hate. Sure he is a
little bit too nosy in the Luther Mohoney case, but that's not a reason to
hate him. I bet you have not seen any of his films or tv guest appearances
have you? He has been in many movies and tv shows. He was even the main star
in the first eps. of HBO's Oz, a great prison drama by the WRITERS OF
HOMICIDE. Hmm.. He can play a prisoner then a dectective, that must take a
lot of acting skill.
Here are only a few of the movies he has been in:
Selena
Dear God
Sunchaser
12 Monkeys
I Like it like that
Gladiator
There has also been a article about him in Entertaiment Weekly saying this:

AND FINALLY, THE LAST LETTER:
From: BHughes686@aol.com
To: spindr@microtec.net
I thoroughly disagree with you regarding Jon Seda and the character Paul
Falsone.
There is no question that Homicide is easily the best show on television.
However, last year's episodes were really starting to get stagnant. They
have gone as far as they could with Kay Howard, unless they had her come out
as the lesbian she obviously was. Dr. Cox certainly added interest and her
affair with Kellerman was moderately interesting. But you have an aging cast
and the writer's were obviously floundering with the direction of the show.
The addition of Paul Falsone provides a desparately needed shot in the arm
and provides a younger member to a group that have gone everywhere and done
everything. Yes, the character is abrasive but at least he has generated
some interest as seen by this website. Jon Seda is very attractive and is a
highly talented actor. This greaseball stuff is very offensive and is
remeniscent of the flack Jimmy Smits got when he replaced Caruso on NYPDBlue
and look where he has gone. I particularly liked the confrontational scene
between Falsone and Kellerman in the last episode. The sparks really flew
between them and that is something that has been sorely missing from the
show. We are all too comfortable with Gee and his wooden delivery, the new
family man Frank who is much more attractive when he is being a tough guy
(remember the woman serial killer with the white gloves?), Baylis' sexual
ambiguity, and even Meldrick as much as I love him is getting a little old
hat if you'll excuse the pun. Falsone adds a tension that is absolutely
necessary for a drama to succeed. I am willing to bet that he will become
involved with Dr. Cox and the triangle with Kellerman will be something to
watch I assure you. Jon Seda is a welcome addition to Homicide and
apparently many people think he is attractive as evidenced by the article in
TV Guide regarding sexiest people on tv. You people seem rather juvenile in
your criticisms and it almost seems to me that somebody out there has some
personal ax to grind with Seda. Get over it! He is here to stay thank god
and Homicide might actually survive another year due in great part to the
contribution of Seda and the character Falsone. You know I'm right about
this don't you?
sincerely bhughes

This guy needs a HOT shower, a good hair degreaser and a different hair
stylist, not to mention his wardrobe. His constant in your face attitude
is too much for anyone to stomach. I hope he gets transferred to Seattle
