Strawberry Pie


1 quarts strawberries 2 quart strawberries
1-1/2 cups sugar 6 TBS corn starch
1 cup water 1 baked deep dish pie crust
12 oz. cool whip

Preparation

  1. Wash, hull & mash 1 quart strawberries
  2. Combine corn starch, sugar, & water
  3. Add to mashed strawberries
  4. Bring to a boil & cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly
  5. Let cool
  6. Wash & hull remaining 2 qt. strawberries
  7. Pour mashed berry mixture over strawberries & stir to coat
  8. Fill baked pie crust & chill in refrigerator for several hours
  9. When ready to serve, cover with cool whip
