June Ann (Boyden) Mattson
I was born on 6/15/1921 at 3832 Snelling Avenue South Minneapolis Minnesota. I am an only child to Dahline and Frank Boyden. I graduated from Roosevelt and was a member of the "Demure Debs" - a group of girl friends who still meet to this day. They are: Peggy (Briggs) Cerise, Harriet (Olson) Levendowski, Vivian (Dagsvik) Olausen. Dorothy (Wilson)Anderson and myself. A wonderful bunch of gals. I married Glenn Donald Herman Mattson on New Year's Eve in 1941 and honeymooned in California. We stayed there in Glendale for some 3 years. Our oldest son, Rocky, was born in the Hollywood Hospital in Hollywood - 9/21/1942. Sandy, Danny, Melanie and Robin followed. I also have nine wonderful grandchildren and 2 great grand children. I have a wonderful family and have had a full and happy life. I belong to the OES and have been a representative for my sister-in-law's company "Pearl Whirlpool Baths" for a good part of my life. 1 write a recipe column in my husband's newsletters and would be very happy for any new, novel and tasty suggestions.
