Lantana proves itself as one of Hawaii's most aggressive introduced weeds. Native to Tropical America, and in the Verbena family, Lantana can be seen in moist to dry areas across low to mid elevation Hawaii. Several species in the genus are cultivated for their bright colors. The potent fragrance of Lantana leaves remains one of its most obvious identifying factors.
