After playing Laura Petrie, the lovable wife of Rob Petrie on "The Dick Van Dyke Show",
Mary Tyler Moore went on to star in "The Mary Tyler Moore Show".
The show started in 1970 and ended sadly in 1977. Mary played a young
business woman trying to "make it on her own".

start her own series, "Rhoda". "Rhoda" starred Valerie Harper
in the title role playing a young woman living in Manhattan.
