The Mary Tyler Moore show

After playing Laura Petrie, the lovable wife of Rob Petrie on "The Dick Van Dyke Show", Mary Tyler Moore went on to star in "The Mary Tyler Moore Show". The show started in 1970 and ended sadly in 1977. Mary played a young business woman trying to "make it on her own".

Rhoda

Valerie Harper got her start on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" playing Mary's delightfully realistic friend, Rhoda. After four years, Valerie left the show to start her own series, "Rhoda". "Rhoda" starred Valerie Harper in the title role playing a young woman living in Manhattan.
