OUR TICKETS and the NECKLACE I BOUGHT.
THE LIGHTENING BOLT WAS MY DAD'S FAVORITE SIGN.
He was a Master Electrician and his name was Edward,
The bolt has an E in it, one reason the necklace is very precious to me :-)
My son and my nephew, two of my Dad's grandsons, both wear one too!
My 9 year old son and I had a wonderful time! And I think my son's birthday went ok for him...
The next night when we got home we called Carl in CO.
The 9 year old, RYAN told the 23 year old CARL, "Happy Birthday!" then went on to tell his brother,
"You have to go to a John Mellencamp concert!"
Carl told Ryan "I want to, I would have this time, But I was in Vermont, when he was on tour in Colorado!"
Two months befour this concert, my Mom died. AND 15 months before that, my Dad died.
It was a very rough year and a half.
When John sang YOUR LIFE IS NOW, right in front of me, I started to cry. He looked at me and sang that line to me. That was very special, the song has so much meaning to me.
I need to remember everyday that my life is now.
