NWOBHM

N.W.O.B.H.M Stands for New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. It all started in 1980, where Metal was on all 4 floors. It was new decade and People were expecting Metal. And one of these reasons was of British Metal. Not many Metal bands were even big in the early 80's. Most of the big Metal bands were from the United Kingdom, bands like Iron Maiden, Venom, Judas Priest and White Snake, Set the tone for one of the biggest metal style (well more of an Era) than any other anyone has ever seen.  From the roots of Black Sabbath and Judas Priest opened a new chapter in music, British metal is not always heavy, it's a tone or so louder than the regular metal but with heavy bass.  NWOBHM started all the way in 1970, where bands like Judas Priest and Black Sabbath were influenced by the British Blues explosion. By that, not many bands had formed in that time or were ever really influeced by them. By the late 70's things had rapidly changed. More and more publicity Judas priest and Sabbath got, and by '77 Motorhead Debut for the first time, with a high speedy guitarist and a screaming vocals.  But the fan didn't start till 1980. By 1980, Iron Maiden - the biggest band of the NWOBHM was made! Bands like Def Leppard were already competing in the charts. And British Metal was on top of the world.  The significant part of this is when MTV Was born most of the metal played was NWOBHM so they were the pioneers in Metal on MTV.   Till now Many Death/BLACK/DOOM/ And Thrash metal bands have been influenced by British Metal. Although People took it down like Metallica.
