Michele’s Chicken Divan

4-6 boneless skinless chicken breasts

¾ cup chicken broth
-
1 large bunch fresh broccoli (can substitute frozen, but it doesn’t taste
as good)

1 can cream of chicken soup
-
1 (8 oz.) sour cream
-
8 oz. Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Italian style bread crumbs

Butter or margarine
Boil chicken reserving ¾ cup of broth. Tear chicken into bite size
pieces. Preheat oven to 375F degrees. Place uncooked broccoli in bottom
of 8-1/2 by 11-inch casserole. Top with chicken pieces. In a small bowl,
mix the soup, sour cream and chicken broth. Pour over chicken. Top with
cheese, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, and dot with butter. Bake approximately
1 hour or until cheese is golden brown!
