5- 9-98 First release of Final Fantasy X v.70(released under name Final Fantasy Face-Lift)
What it is:
Final Fantasy X is the result of months of hard work,
started way back in the middle of 97. After working
on it on and off for a long time, the project really
picked up its pace about the middle of March.
What you see now is, more or less, a graphics upgrade
intended to make the game more enjoyable. Lots of people
have requested that we put in characters from the
other FF series, but it was to be kept as close to the
original as possible. Each Final Fantasy is it's own
game. We just wanted to make the first one fun again
after all those years. If you want new characters, try
Final Fantasy Remix.
Which incorporates characters from many of the FFs.
The only changed premacies are:
The replacement of the Canoe with the River Chocobo
Item icons in the item screen
A few changed spell names
