History Lesson

Every artist is influenced by other artists. These works show how one can learn by imitating or at least studying other artists. "Tribute to Egon" is a copy/detail of a work by Egon Schiele. It is a 22X28 arcrylic. The original was a large and unfinished oil painting, Egon's last, of his close friend a painter and actor. Egon died of the same illness that took his wife months earlier. Egon was known for the raw energy and sexuality of his work in a very restricted period in Germany.
