Cathedral of Sorrow

A Cathedral, cold, dark, and 'lone...
Through times long gone...
From history old...
A solemn figure, on a bleak horizon...
It beckons and calls to those who are wiser...
Pass the gates, and across the graves...
A stumbling mortal makes his way...
Enter these doors, and face the Night...
Alone and Scared, Feel the unholy Bite...
Screams and cries can not be heard...
For those who enter can never return...
Alas, poor soul, you did not heed...
The warnings and tales of the past nights deeds...
Your soul is gone, the night now forever...
There is nothing now, was there ever????
Eyes now adjust on the figure there...
An Angel of Mercy, majestic and fair...
But low and behold upon his lips...
A smile plays, and your blood drips...
"Sleep sweet mortal," He whispers low...
"You are dead now, Surely you know..."
He turns and laughs walking away...
You try to talk, but there is nothing to say...
The darkness closes, your life fading fast...
You feel yourself within death's cold grasp...
There within the Cathedral walls...
Your life slipped, and death paid a call...

Alone I walk, Heart in Pain...
The Night I haunt, Soul in chains...
Prey I seek, Hunger thrives...
Innocent or not, Conscience drives...
The Hunt begins, Instincts stir...
Frigid wind blows, Wings unfurl...
Soaring high, Eyes detect...
An Angel of Angels, Thoughts suspect...
Stalking above, Pulse rages...
Quarry unsuspecting, Desire blazes...
The Kill at hand, Arms embrace...
The Struggle concluded, Blood I taste...
The Hunt is done, Thirst abates...
A Soul is lost, Heaven awaits...

Why???

A cold wind blows...
Forgotten am I, Quiet and alone...
Freezing and crying, chilled to the bone...
Flooded with emotions, the rain pours down...
Shivering and shaking, my soul drowns...
Eyes, grey and hollow...
Thoughts once happy, become dark and shallow...
Forlorn, I sit and wonder...
My aching heart torn asunder...
By love's callous hand...
Dispondent, I slowly stand...
An anguished scream, a sorrowful cry...
I beg the heavens...Why???

Lady of the Night

Her whims not sated...
Her desires unabated...
One of the night....
Such a beautiful Sight....
Her moves are of Grace....
Her passing, without a trace....
A kiss, soft as rain...
Her eyes filled with pain...
A dark, tortured soul...
Immortality takes it's toll...
Her smile misgiving...
Her bite unforgiving...
A fateful embrace...
Last vision, her angelic face...
Hunger, an unending need...
Bound nightly to feed...

Rebirth of an Angel

Standing alone...eyes flare with a hellish red glow....
Slowly I raise my head for all to view...
An inferno dwells deep within me...
Surging to be released...
Yet....I pause...restraining my new found strength...
Muscles tighten...a wicked, cruel smiles plays upon my lips...
Evidence of past tears still linger upon my cheeks...
Blood red...staining the pale skin beneath...
A trembling body of emotions am I...begging for release...
Looking towards the heavens as I once did long ago...
Howling my discontent....my rage.....my HATRED....
"Of all the emotions in expression...one is the hardest to tame....
Love you might think....~evil smile~....but you are wrong....
Of them all...One gives you unimaginable strength, the ability to destroy....
If you've not guessed by now....tis best you never know it....
For it will be your undoing..."
A cold laugh fills the air, as a gale of fire sweeps the room...
Blackened, charred....destroyed.....
"From ashes we rose....to ashes we shall fall...."
Silent now as the grave...ashes and charred remains....

Lament

Feelings deep within...
They call to me...time for the pain to begin...
Their dark, hallow laughter fills my ears...
Killing my heart...provoking more tears...
Desperately, I try and fight...
Helpless...they hound me...day and night...
Thoughts of the past are all I possess...
None of happiness...only distress...
Pain, cold as ice...pierces my soul...
Want it to end...just let me go...
Shaking...crying....
Slowly dying...
The pain...the fear...all these hated years...
I cry alone...with the laughter and jeers...

Please let me go...let this end...
