Ritual for the cure of lycanthropy

First the leader of the ritual must enter the circle and invoke the powers held within, by saying aloud with his hands held aloft

"I (the name of the ritualist) invoke this circle"

Then he must spread his arms in a sweeping motion, inviting his ritualists into the circle, who must then form into a circle.

After the circle has been invoked and the mages are all present, the leader will walk once around the circle in a clockwise motion touching each of his ritualists on the shoulder.

The leader will then walk to face the stone of earth and say aloud.

"I (name) ask y Ddraig ruler of the element of earth to close this circle and to protect the ritualists, will you grant us this aid?", Y Ddraig should then answer in the positive "Yes I will grant you this aid".

This phrase should be repeated for each of the elements in turn,

Air

Fire

Water

Ether.

Again the leader will walk around the circle once, clockwise and will come to rest at the stone of earth, where waiting for him will be the mage entrusted with the werewolf skull. The leader will take the skull from the holder, hold it above his head and say aloud

"Behold the skull of a greater werewolf."

He will place this skull on the stone of earth, grasp the top and start a chant.

"Y Ddraig, imbue this skull with the powers of earth."

Which is to be repeated five times after the first by all of the ritualists.

The leader will then give the skull back to the holder who will begin to wilt under the influence of the charged up skull. Then he will proceed unto the second stone where the holder of the crushed green gem awaits. "Behold the crushed gem of purest green" The leader will take the crucible which holds the powder and place upon the stone, and will begin a chant.

" < imbue this powder with the powers of air"

Again repeat five more times by all the ritualists.

The powder is then given back to the holder who will begin to wilt under the influence of the charged up powder. Then he will proceed unto the third stone where the holder of the blood of the holiest person awaits. "Behold the blood of the holiest person alive" The leader will take the crucible which holds the blood and place upon the stone, and will begin a chant.

"DAGDA imbue this blood with the powers of fire"

Again repeat five more times by all the ritualists.

The powder is then given back to the holder who will begin to wilt under the influence of the charged up blood. Then he will proceed unto the fourth stone where the holder of the water from the driest desert awaits. "Behold the water from the driest of deserts" The leader will take the crucible which holds the water and place upon the stone, and will begin a chant.

" < imbue this powder with the powers of water"

Again repeat five more times by all the ritualists.

The water is then given back to the holder who will begin to wilt under the influence of the charged up water. Then he will proceed unto the last stone, where he himself will gain the fifth item from the afflicted one.

The afflicted one will kneel before the leader and offer up the fifth item, this item is not known as it will differ with each individual who is so afflicted with the curse of lycanthropy. But it will be incorporeal due to it being linked with the ether.

The leader will place his hand upon the head and accept the fifth item, then he will turn towards the stone of ether and chant,

" < imbue (name the afflicted) with the powers of ether"

Again repeat five more times by all the ritualists.

The leader will walk around the circle once again, clockwise, and will stop at the skull. Taking the skull he will approach the afflicted and place it upon the head of the afflicted saying aloud,

"By the powers of earth and what has passed, I cast out the beast."

Then the powder, is blown into the face of the afflicted.

By the powers of air and what shall be, I cast out the beast."

Then the blood is spread over the forehead and cheeks of the afflicted

By the powers of fire and that which is within, I cast out the beast."

Then the afflicted is forced to drink the water

"By the powers of water and that which is without I cast out the beast."

Then the last item,

By the powers of ether and that which cannot be seen, I cast out the beast."

By this time the afflicted should be writhing on the ground, it is at this time when the chant will begin, involving all the ritualists.

By the powers of Earth, We cast out the beast."

By the powers of Air, We cast out the beast."

By the powers of Fire, We cast out the beast."

By the powers of Water, We cast out the beast."

By the powers of Ether, We cast out the beast."

The afflicted should start to writhe in agony, and will start to change, on about the third reciting of the chant the split should occur. It is at this time that everyone in the circle is in danger, no-one is to interfere with any of the combatants in any way. If things go very badly for the afflicted then the leader must take up a responsibility to his ritualists, he must open circle and tell everyone to leave quickly.

If things go well for the afflicted then the elements must be thanked and the circle opened.

"I (name) thank you Y Ddraig for your aid, and send you from this circle."

All of the elements must be dealt with in this way.

When all are thanked and banished from the circle, then the circle is devoked and everybody leaves in the same way as they entered.
