Morning Time The sun is rising yet you linger. Stillness surounds us yet my heart flutters with love for you. I watch you lie there breathing softly--what are you dreaming? The sweet aroma of your breath touches me and surrounds me with the love that started the moment you were born. How tiny your lips are...funny how they crinkle up when you sleep. Your lashes close over the bluest eyes I've seen. Eyes of wonder and merriment and innocence. What are you dreaming? The sun is rising and its gentle rays lighten your blonde hair till it glimmers. God puts this wondrous halo around you each and every morning, reminding me of the blessing you are to me. We need to get up and start the day but I don't want to end your dream. So I snuggle up to you for a little while longer and enjoy you...in the morning. ...angi z to hannah |
