Are You a Christian in Pain?
"Christians-in-Pain" is a support group for Christians suffering from chronic pain and illnesses of all types. If you are a member of the group we welcome you. If you are not a member, please join us by entering your email address below. Our group has been, and continues to be richly blessed as we share our burdens and pray for one another. We believe that we have the burden of loving our brothers and sisters in Christ even though we are ill and experiencing pain and problems in our lives. We know that our God reigns and that He will never forsake us. Come and write to fellow Christians who have problems like yours, and see how God works through their responses of love and kindness.

Philippians 1:3-6: "I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that He who has began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."(NIV)

You Just Wouldn’t Understand
Often people say to me "You just wouldn't understand."
"You're way too old." or "Way too young." or "You are Not a Man."
I don't know why some people feel they suffer unique pain.
As if they are the only ones who've lost or ceased to gain.
I don't know why they hide their pain and clutch it ever tighter.
It seems to me that all should know - a burden shared gets
lighter.
Why some folks even deign to think the pain that's in their heart
all their own, to keep and hoard, they set themselves apart.
They keep their eyes from meeting mine - lest I should see their hurt.
And even if we stop and speak their words are often curt.
The Bible says: 'Two can withstand what overcomes just 'one'.
And also that a 'Cord of Three' can scarcely be undone.
Besides, I know the ways of hurt. My heart's been crushed before.
Friends have betrayed. I've lost at Love. Despair's knocked at my door.
And I Remember thoughts gone wild, and crying late at night.
Not having strength to care at all - Much less the strength to
fight.
But someone special came to me - And when my trials were told.
I realized that with their tears - They'd eased my heavy load.
And so, I learned that Pain - like Love - is bearable if shared.
I don't know what I would have done without that friend who
cared.
My trials did not vanish fast - In fact the time was long.
But sharing gave me breathing space until I could grow strong
Enough to laugh again and even start to smile -
And though it seemed it could not help - It eased my pain awhile
(2 Corinthians 4:8,9).
So, if you think that you can't share cause I won't understand.
At least give me just half a chance to lend a helping hand.
For I know that you're hurting and I know a place to start.
Perhaps if you could realize - Your pain burns in my heart.
I know I cannot make your trials and troubles go away.
But maybe I can help a bit to get you through today.
And maybe by tomorrow you won't need help anymore.
But if you should - Don't be ashamed -
For that's what friends are for (2 Corinthians1:3-6).
And after all is said and done - The trial has ceased - You're whole.
Perhaps you'll know just what to do to help another soul -
Who's being crushed by hurt and pain - be it a woman or a man.
And you won't have to hear them say "You just wouldn't understand."

Christians-in-Pain
God hears our cry when we are sad
Don't forget that as you start your day,
He knows everything we're going through
He listens with compassion each time we pray.
Some of us are strong, some are weak
Therefore we need each other,
We often need words of encouragement
We get it from our sister or brother.
Some are more outgoing than others
It's hard for some to speak out,
But that's okay, we understand
That's what Christians-in-Pain is about.
We are here to support each other;
To lift each other up when we're down,
Bring a little sunshine to each life
And there's always sunshine to be found.
We all have our aches, pain, and depression
But we will not give into satan's plot,
We call on each other for prayer and support
And believe me it helps a lot.
Thank you, Lord for this group of friends
I have found in Christians-in-Pain,
All ages, different physical problems
Since I have met them it has been my gain.
Lord, anoint us and keep us in Your will
Let us be a blessing to someone,
Curse the petty things, and be peacemakers
So we can rest when our day is done.

We Have Hope In The Gospel of Jesus Christ
Romans 15:13 (KJV): "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost."

Pathway of Pain
If my days were untroubled
and my heart always light,
would I seek that fair land
where there is no night?
If I never grew weary
with the weight of my load,
would I search for
God's peace
at the end of the road?
If I never knew sickness
and never felt pain
would I search for a hand
to help and sustain?
If I walked without sorrow
and lived without loss
would my soul seek solace
at the foot of the cross?
If all I desired
was mine day to day,
would I kneel before God
and earnestly pray?
If God sent no winter
to freeze me with fear,
would I yearn for the
warmth
of spring every year?
I ask myself these
and the answer is plain,
if my life were pleasure
and I never knew pain,
I'd seek God less often
and need Him much less,
for God is sought
more often
in times of distress.
And no one knows God
or sees Him as plain--
as those who have
met Him
on the "Pathway of Pain."

"...God has put a people together here in this group like no
group on or off line that I have ever been a part of...faithful
in all things, loving, compassionate, full of wisdom, mighty
prayer warriors, ready to serve the Lord and His people!
I have never seen nor been part of a ministry like Christians in
Pain!!!! That is totally united, in one mind and one accord,
bonded in love and faith, beliving in the truth, standing on God's
Word, praying and believing that those prayers will be answered
and expecting to see the signs and wonders as the results of those
prayers, and on and on and on!!!
Thank You, Lord!!! Thank You!!! I know a lot of you suffer much
more than I do...but stick around here...you can search the inter-
net and I don't think you will find another group of believers
like it! I'm tellin' ya, it can't be beat!!! You will be up-
lifted and we all stand and claim healing for the entire group
everyday! We've seen healings in this group...we will see more...
not only physical healing, but spiritual, emotional, mental, what-
ever the need...Jesus is our healer!!! We all have royal blood
flowing through our veins...sons and daughters of the King of
Kings!! A royal priesthood, a chosen generation!!! We shall not be
moved!
Thank You, Father! You are so faithful, so full of grace and
mercy and love!! We love You, Lord...thank You for leading me
here. Thank You for each member, thank You for your servant that
had the vision for this group and that she had the tenacity and
You gave her all the strength and patience she needed to birth her
vision! Thank You for all the prayers that You have answered
and those You are going to answer. Thank You for providing peace
to those that need it, protection to others, finances to
others, and wounds bound for others. Bless the Lord, O my soul
and all that is within me bless His HOLY name!!! "No greater love
hath any man than he lay down his life for a friend..."

Covenant of Friendship
Whenever I find myself thinking of you,
I think of your smile, which I can't live without.
I think about laughter, and the memories we've shared
I think about God Who answers our prayers.
I think about falling, but quickly rising again
The courage you show, when you're dealing with sin.
I think about goodness, and kindness too
For those are the qualities I admire in You.
I think about talking for hours online
Laughing so hard, my sides hurt at times.
I think about sharing my innermost thoughts
My darkest of secrets that can leave me distraught.
Knowing they're safe when I share them with you
Feeling total trust when I run to you.
When I'm feeling down or a little blue.
For the friendship you offer is free, without strings
Giving me liberty, which makes my heart sing.
Always ready to listen, and ready to Pray
Free from all Judgment, which you hold at bay.
Looking deep enough to see the real Me
Which I hide from so many, Yet with You I am free
To give my opinions, Or a Word from above,
Knowing you'll hear them with ears that hear love.
Seeing a reflection of Myself in your eyes,
Connected by Spirit, From our God, Most High.
Feeling you close, though we're miles apart
Connecting online, But really by hearts.
We have found something special, That many don't see
That friendship's a gift, and God meant it to be.
Like David and Jonathan, in Covenant it says,
Promised their friendship would last beyond death
With God as my Witness, I promise to You
I'll be here forever, A friend that is True.
In good times and bad, Forever I'll be
Standing close, right beside you Throughout Eternity.

neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant. Our heart is not
turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way."

Christians-in-Pain
Christians in Pain had a chat last night.
Mark and I were the first ones there,
Frances, Cindy, Debbie and Pam
Judith, Susan, and we had prayer.
Judy came in, we had a great time I think
I enjoyed it in fact, my best one yet,
I will be looking forward to the next one
I‘ll write it down so I don't forget.
Rambling Robert could not join us
and some others I do not know well,
I learned a lot about the group
They all enjoyed it I could tell.
We talked about the Lord and
our problems and our pain,
then we said what we were thankful for
We have Jesus so we have a lot to gain.
We talked about where we lived
We didn't focus on all of the bad
Some even talked about their pets
Yes, even about good times we had.
If God is the center of our life
we have to let it show through,
We have to be a witness for Jesus
It has to be seen in all that we do.
