(2) The DAR REVOLUTIONARY WAR PATRIOT INDEX (PAGE 363) lists the "I" surnames of ISGRIGG, ISH, ISHAM, ISHERWOOD, ISHMAEL, ISRAEL, IVENS, IVERS, IVES, IVEY, IVINS, IVORY, IVY, & IZARD. Following is the excerpt from that page:

"ISHERWOOD - Francis b10-26-1747/48 d10-25-1828 married Elizabeth Grimes PS PA"

"ISHMAEL - Benjamin b circa 1736/37 d7-10-1822 married probably **Jane Pvt PA"

Since Elizabeth Grimes married Francis Isherwood & his date of death was 10-25-1828 AFTER the death of Benjamin Ishmael on 7-10-1822, I question Elizabeth Grimes being a wife of Benjamin Ishmael. Does anyone have further proof either for or against her being Ben's wife? **We know Jane ("Jenny") was Ben's 2nd/last wife.
