Perpetual Time Clocks

Perpetual Time Clocks

I. In despair I learned a lesson
Could it be in life or death?
Perpetual time clocks don't exist
So neither does perpetual pain
Hell for the sinner, he says,
Ignorance creates
And he laughs at my jokes
A Holy Man at Wally World
And I'm in hell with him
Pain couldn't be more than a cover
Love, he says, is in my mind
But if he could take a razor
And cut me open wide
Would my trembling heart beat in his
hands
And split open at his sight?
Perpetual time clocks don't exist
So neither does perpetual love

II.Perpetual time clocks don't exist
So neither does perpetual love
For how could anyone resist
The judge of mental love?
He sits on high
Boasts in his pride
Telling me I'm in the wrong
But take a bullet in my hand
And feel it burn so soft
He touches me with subtle lips
And steals my will to be
So tell me then how in his arms
I can be strong again
Ashamed of being innocent
Afraid of getting hurt
A kiss is just a kiss, he says
But pain is getting burnt
As he declares this sentence
Of sadness and dismay
I hear perpetual time clocks tick
With my perpetual pain.
