   Training in the Rehabilitation centre
NAB Rehabilitation and Basic Training Center for Adult Blind, Bangalore.

This center, established in 1980, provides counseling and training to help the visually handicapped, especially those
from the rural areas. The course is of 1 year duration. The students are trained in basic skills of movement, domestic activities, light engineering, carpentry, cycle repair, pump repair and re-caning of chairs. Free boarding and lodging facilities are offered to the trainees. Free uniforms are also provided for the trainees.

Number of visually handicapped trained at this center upto 31 March, 1999 is 391.

NAB Mobility Training Center, Bangalore

At NAB's exclusive Mobility Training Center, established in 1982, six weeks orientation and mobility training is given to the visually handicapped in handling daily living skills, developing self-confidence and in being mobile with the help of a white cane. Free boarding and lodging facilities are offered to the trainees.

Number of visually handicapped persons given mobility training is 1941, upto 31 March, 1999.
