PROFILE

Scott Fisher is an M.V.P winner, a championship winner and an olympian. His best basketball is behind him but he still will contribute at least 10ppg and 6rpg for the Wildcast in 1998. He has won two championships, one with the North Melbourne Giants in his M.V.P year way back in 1988, and the other came with the Perth Wildcats in 1995 which earned Fisher and the Wildcats the right to play the then NBA champion Houston Rockets. The Wildcats were trounced by the Rockets but they were still NBL champions. The next season Fisher suffered a devastating knee injury that sidelined him for over a season and he is still not 100%. Fisher became an Australian in 1993 he was eligible to play as one in mid 1996 and he took advantage of this trying out for the final spot for the Boomers to play in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. He was picked over team mate Ricky Grace and he had a good tournament repaying Barry Barnes for the faith he showed in Fisher. Fisher has been a big contributer to the Wildcats and after his career will look to take up a job with the Wildcats somewhere in the front office or for promotional work. He has been working with Channel Ten Perth and will continue that work if Ten continues it's coverage in the West.
