The 'Chairman of the Boards' turns 38 this season and in what will probably be his last season in the NBL Mark Davis is looking a likely starter. Davis has maintained his outstanding rebounding and defence in the last few years but still some poeple have questioned his ability to compete in the NBL. But the former Championship winner, 1982(West Adelaide) and 1986(Adelaide) produced a consistant 1997 season. But the sixers missed out on the play offs and big changes were made. Davis was spared and it seems he will get more opportunities than he has in recent years playing under former team mate and freind Phil Smyth.Mark Davis is among the all time leaders in rebounds, points scored and field goal percentage and long after his career is finished he will be remebered as the toughest rebounder to play in the NBL.
