PROFILE

Frank Drmic came into the NBL in 1995 with a daunting and somewhat unfair tag as the next Andrew Gaze. This was not a good way to start for Drmic, to compare anyone to Andrew Gaze is unfair but Drmic was only 18 and unproven at the proffessional level, yet he had a good season in 1996 and he backed that up with a powerful year in 1997, making the 22 and under World Championship team, and he started the first few games for the Gold Medal winners before being relegated to the bench for the remainder of the tournament. Drmic played an important role for the 'crocs' and he continued that form in helping the Magic to their second straight NBL Finals series. Drmic is also tipped by many people around the league to be a future NBA prospect.
