PROFILE
Rupert Sapwell is in his second year for his third National Basketball League club. He has played for the South East Melbourne Magic, the now defunct Geelong Supercats and now for the Adelaide 36ers. He is a reliable and solid foward who over the years he has learnt to play within himself. He attended College in the US and his College caoch said he should stop trying to emulate Michael Jordan and that he should find himself a role that would suit his skills. He is a bruiser and a rebounder and that is the role he has found thathe does well. In his time with the Supercats he scored a little more than he had in previous years. He has had limited opportunities with the Adelaide 36ers but new coach Phil Smyth will appreciate Sapwells old school tough hard nosed style and that should result in more minutes in 1998.
