Razorback's sign veteran Bruce Bolden

The West Sydney Razorbacks pulled off a huge coup today , signing veteran power foward Bruce Bolden from the Sydney Kings. Bolden who is coming off a great season for the cross town rivals will play his 13th season in Australia when he suits up for the expansion Razorbacks in the upcoming summer season starting in October. Bolden was expected to stay with the Kings after earlier attempts to link up with the Razorbacks didn't eventuate.

Bolden will provide front court leadership in a team with a dynamic backcourt but a very young front court. With West Sydney still chasing Paul Rodgers and Simon Dwight, Bolden is likely to be the teams starting power foward, with Steve Hoare and Steve Ryan coming off the Razorbacks bench. Bolden singled out the Basketball enviroment of the club as one of the keys to his defection and the opportunity to play with the former Suns guard Derek Rucker. "I like the attitude of the organisation," Bolden said. "I know we'll be playing an honest, hard-working kind of game and that'll suit me. The opportunity to play with a talent like Derek Rucker was also a real incentive."
