THE TIME CAPSULE

(A LOOK INTO THE PAST)

Want to take a trip back in time with me? Into cyberspace I tossed my virtual bottle. Never thinking where it might settle or hit ground. We live in a big world but not big enough not to have found a familiar landing spot.

I have to wonder did the other person cast her virtual bottle at the same time I cast mine? Guess no matter where we are if its meant to happen it will, if there’s a friend to be made it will be!

I know I‘m a sentimental over sensitive type that gets caught up in this kind of nostalgia but it can’t be helped. I sometimes live for yesterday and all it’s memories. That bottle was picked up in my old hometown Brooklyn, NY. I was always teased about not only for the accent I had, but also because people made me feel sometimes like I came from a foreign country. But I had fun with it; for a long time people actually use to shut up to listen to me talk.

What I really want to talk about is how I found my new friend and how many things we have in common. We started by discovering I came from Brooklyn and she came from Brooklyn. Then we realized we both lived in the same section and she then asked if I had kids? I said, "Yes, I have to a son named John and a daughter Patty." She said, " I have a son named Jon and a daughter named Taylor." Then the real fun started. I mentioned some schools I had attended like PS 205 and she lives 2 blocks away. I used to walk to school so I was pretty close as well. I then mentioned another school I attended. And her son graduated from that one last June.

It was exciting enough, but when I gave her an address to the house I lived in that’s when we both kind of lost it. Yes in a fun way! As it turns out not only did we hit on the same section; we lived on the same block. She then told me, "if I look out of my daughters window I can see the house you lived in." Well now she was convinced that a friend was pulling one heck of a good scam on her. So she went to my web site and said that no way could any of her friends pull anything like that with such detail. I told her of a childhood crush I had on a neighbor hood boy. I told her his name and she even knew him. And I found out that he still lives there and is still good looking. And that he has three sons of his own. The excitement just kept building. From the neighbor hood, too some people that is still there. Unfortunately, I couldn’t remember that far back.

And we had talked about what web-a-holics we both are and how her hubby doesn't understand why that is. So in this big world of ours, "It’s A Small World After All". Thank you for the very warm look back Jean Ann! Hope we can do some more again real soon.
