I became entangled in This Pop Trash Movie on a beautiful Los Angeles evening---Friday, September 3, 1999. The set was Universal Amphitheatre on the Universal Studios lot. The pay scale...oh, we were supposed to get paid for this???

SCENE 1 - INT. WOMEN'S BATHROOM

April (Lilome) is a true Terroristen. Snagging some fliers from Candace (Xaxin) for John Taylor, as well as some from Jacquie (Blakey) for Three Alarm Fire, April went to work in the women's bathroom. She and the others risked being thrown out of the concert for promoting these other acts. I am amazed they were never found out, what with the amount of squealing at John's photo some of these girls did.

SCENE 2 - INT. PIT

Margaret Timmons joins me in the pit. It was her first time so close, with the exception of the Tower Records Escapade. Can you see my eyes glowing green? This is a sure sign I am pissed off about something. In this case, I simply did not want to be there. *ducks rotten fruit and veggies* I checked the time so often that Margaret finally told me to shut the hell up and enjoy the show. Some Duranie I am---I was more concerned about the Van Gogh's Ear show I was missing. (Oh, like I wasn't going to go see the local band the next night!)

SCENE 3 - INT. STAGE

The stars of This Pop Trash Movie arrive. On time, of all things. Mr. Nick Rhodes, Mr. Simon LeBon, and Mr. Warren Cuccurullo find their marks and stand mannequin-like for a few beats. Nick raises his right arm and points at his keyboards. On this cue, the music begins, and so does our movie.
