Christmas comes early for BFC

With just a month left to Christmas the Celts were feeling generous today and snatched a draw from the jaws of victory. 2-0 up at the break courtesy of goals from Dermody and O'Keeffe, a victory against BFC looked on the cards.

The first half saw one of the best 11 a side performances by the Celts to date. The defence and keeper were very solid and distributed the ball well. Midfield and the lads up front harried the British into making mistakes and used the ball intelligently when it came their way.

As this was a friendly, it was a good occasion to try and find a settled starting eleven. The Celts seem to have a very strong squad and should be able to go the whole way in the Japan Times Cup this year.

Overall this game was a good warmup for the important task which lies ahead on Saturday against Stoneds (what sort of stupid name is that for a team ?)

Thanks to everyone for coming out yesterday. Well done.
