My Dragonball-Z-GT Homepage
Hidden Facts
and Unexplained Factors...
Storyline
Before we start, read and learn what happened in the whole Dragonball-Z-GT story-line. This should
clear up all the confusion:
Hundreds of years ago, the Black star dragonballs were created and scattered
across the universe. The Namek dragonballs were also created and scattered across
Planet Namek. One set of dragonballs cracked and the evil dragonballs appeared.
Seven evil dragons swept across and destroyed the region their dragonballs were scattered upon.
Some time later in the heavens, Kaiou walks across Snake Way.
Years ago, on the Kaiou-shin planet, the Kaiou-shin gods lived peacefully.
This ended when Boo terrorized the inhabitants. All the Kaiou-shins were killed
except 3: Kaiou-shin (a kid at the time), his partner, and Dai Kaiou-shin. Boo
was cursed to have an ugly fat appearance and restrained. Bibi-di, responsible
for Boo, failed in his efforts when Boo was defeated. But his son, Babi-di, carries
on the mission to re-unleash Boo.
On Planet Plant, the Tsufuru-jins lived in peace and developed
advanced technology. Out of nowhere, the primative Saiyans landed on the planet.
They allied with the Tsufuru-jins. In exchange, the Tsufuru-jins offered their
technology (space pods, armor, energy detection glasses, etc.) to the Saiyans.
However, the Saiyans, led by Vegeta, eventually betrayed the Tsufuru-jins. War raged.
A full moon occurred on the day of the fight and the Saiyans all reached their Oozaru
(giant ape) stage. The Tsufuru-jins' weapons were of no match for the Saiyan power
and were killed. During the fight, the Tsufuru-jins created Baby to fight the Saiyans, but
he was never used in battle. The Saiyans took over the planet. Vegeta renamed the planet
to Planet Vegeta and made himself king. Later, a planet conquerer, Freeza, came along. He
killed King Vegeta, conquered Planet Vegeta, and used the Saiyans as his mercenaries to conquer
other planets. Next, Freeza plotted to destroy Planet Vegeta and a hero named Bardock arose.
His story is told in Bardock Story:
Lonely Final Battle. Thus, Planet Vegeta and nearly all the Saiyans were destroyed.
Meanwhile, Prince Vegeta and his partner, Nappa, were out destroying other planets. Bardock's eldest son,
Raditz, was also away from Planet Vegeta at the time. At the same time, Bardock's youngest son,
Kakarot, was sent to Planet Earth (a Saiyan tradition of sending babies out to destroy weak planets).
On Earth, Baby Kakarot was found by Granpa Gohan, a student of Master Roshi, and renamed to Gokou. Gokou was a vicious baby,
but after he was dropped on his head, he lost his instinct to destroy the planet. Gokou was raised by Grandpa
Gohan. From him, Gokou learned martial arts. One night, a full moon occurred, Gokou reached his Oozaru stage,
and smashed Granpa Gohan. When it was all over, Gohan told his grandson never to look at the full
moon again, and died. Gokou did not know why or what happened. Afterwards, Gokou lived by himself in the wild
(Gohan lived away from civilization.), believing that his grandpa's spirit was in the 4 star dragonball because this
ball was left to him as a trinket.
Gokou's seclusion ended soon, when he met Bulma (the first girl he had ever seen), the daughter of a scientist and president
of Capsule Corpation. This marked the beginning of Dragonball! Then, the two met Oolong, Yamcha, Puar, the Ox-King, Chi-Chi, and Master Roshi in their
journey to seek the seven dragonballs. (Oolong wanted to wish for a pair of panties, Yamcha wanted a girlfriend, Bulma
wanted a boyfriend, and Gokou simply followed because his "grandpa's" dragonball was used and he
wanted adventure.) In this series, our heroes dealt with Pilaf, who fled after
having Oozura Gokou destroy his castle. Later, a Tenkaichi Budoukai contest
was being held. The gang met Klilyn. Gokou and Klilyn trained under
Master Roshi (the Turtle elder) for the tournament. In this contest, the
"turtle" team faced the "crane" team, which consisted of Chauzu and Tenshin-han,
who trained under the Crane elder, Tsuru-sennin. (Chauzu and Tenshin-han later
found out that their master was evil and abandoned him.)
Meanwhile, a Namek landed on Earth. This guardian wanted to be pure, so he
separated into 2 forms- one good, and one evil. The good Namek became known
as Kami. The evil one became Daimao, the Demon King. The two rivaled.
Kami seeked Gokou, who was pure of heart, to help. Thus, Gokou trained under
Kami. Gokou fought and killed Daimao, not knowing that Daimao further separated
himself into 2 beings- himself, and Piccolo. Dragonball also tells about how
Gokou dealt with other villians such as Jackie Chan and Tao Pai-Pai. In another
story, Gokou met Red Ribbon, fought, and killed him. (But, Red Ribbon's
follower, Dr. Gero, survived. Since then, he had a grudge against Gokou.)
After a few years, Gokou grew up (and so did Piccolo). Piccolo met with
Gokou to avenge his father, but Piccolo was defeated at the end. Piccolo's life
was spared, and Gokou married Chi-Chi. This marked the end of Dragonball.
Next, five more years passed. This marked the beginning of Dragonball Z.
First, Gokou faces Vegeta, as told in the
Vegeta Series. Second, he deals with Freeza in the
Freeza Saga. Next, he fights Cell in the Cell
Story. Finally, more years pass and the Z gang faces Boo in the
Boo Series. This marks the end of Dragonball Z.
Now, more years pass and we move on to Dragonball GT. Here, Baby makes his
appearance in the Baby
Series. Now, our heroes must deal with the evil dragonballs, which is currently
airing on TV (in Japan).
Did you know...?
Like many great stories, Dragonball starts out faultless. But, as the story
progresses, the writers often forget about the small yet significant points they
stated earlier. Some attempted "cover-ups" of earlier errors can also led to more errors.
- Dragonball Z tells of a Super Saiyan, who appears every 1000 years. Gokou
is shown to be this Saiyan, so only he is supposed to be able to reach Super Saian level.
Unexplained: Later, Trunks, Vegeta, and Gohan are also able to reach Super Saiyan mode
- To try to clarify this error, Movie 8 introduces Brolly, the Legendary Saiyan
who apears every 1000 years.
Unexplained: It is shown that Gokou can indeed reach SSJ2 and SSJ3
mode, and that Gohan can reach SSJ2 mode too.
- To try to cover up this error, we are introduced to another term- the
legendary Saiyan who appears every 1000 years, and that is Gokou when he reaches Super Gokou 4 mode.
- When Cell exploded, he regenerated from a single surviving brain cell.
Unexplained: Cell's
entire upper body (including the head and thus the brain) was blown away in
an episode, but he still was able regenerate (without a brain cell).
- In the Boo Series, Gohan trained to become Mystic Gohan, a stage where
he was able to become stronger than reaching Super Saiyan form. Therefore, he does
not reach SSJ mode when he fights Boo.
Unexplained: Gohan reaches SSJ form once again in Dragonball GT.
Ages
- Master Roshi was 307 years old when Gokou was born.
- Master Roshi began to go perverted at 123 years old, when he began buying porno magazines.
- Granpa Gohan was 79 years old when he found Gokou in the forest.
- Klilyn is 1 year older than Gokou.
- Bulma, Yamcha, and Tenshin-han are 4 years older than Gokou.
- Bulma was 16 years old when she met Gokou.
- Trunks was 8 years old at the beginning of the Boo Series.
- Goten is 1 year younger than Trunks.
- Pan was 5 years old when Dragonball Z ended.
- Bra was 4 years old when Dragonball Z ended.
- The first Tenkaichi Budoukai was held 87 years before Gokou was born.
- Gohan was 9 years old when he killed Cell.
- Gohan entered Orange Star High School at the age of 16.
- Dende was 5 years old when he first appeared.
- Kami was over 900 years old when he fused with Piccolo.
Unexplained: Kami is the creator of the Earth dragonballs. He is only
around 900 years old. However, it was stated earlier that the dragonballs have
been around for thousands of years.
- The Boo Series takes place 7 years after the Cell Series.
Characteristics
- When Future Trunks first appears, Vegeta doubts that he is a Saiyan
because he has purple hair. He says that Saiyans have black hair.
Unexplained: Vegeta's hair was red-ish in the Vegeta Series. Some
say that it was because of the reflection of the planet's atmosphere. If this
happened, then Nappa's mustache should have also been red, but it wasn't.
- In an episode, Vegeta says that a pure breed Saiyan is born with a hair style
and remains with that hair style for the rest of his life. He says that it
cannot be changed.
Unexplained: Vegeta gets a new hair style in Dragonball GT.
- Gokou and Vegeta are full breed Saiyans and are born with tails. Gohan
is a half breed Saiyan, but he also is born with a tail.
Unexplained: Goten and Trunks are also half Saiyans, but they do
not have tails. Some say that the tails were cut off at birth. Others say that
the boys inherited the human parent's trait of not having a tail. Either way,
this point was never explained.
- Tenshin-han is classified as a human.
Unexplained: Tenshin-han has 3 eyes. Humans do not have 3 eyes. When
he loses his hand in battle against Nappa, he says, "Just you wait 'til my arm grows
back!" Human arms do not grow back once they are loss.
- Nameks are classified into two groups: healers and warriors. Healers
can heal anyone, but can't fight. Warriors can fight, but can't heal. Both
can regenerate loss limbs, though.
Fusion
- The guardian of the Earth split into 2 forms: Kami (pure good) and
Daimoa (pure evil). Daimoa had a son, Piccolo, who fused permanently with Kami.
- Piccolo also permanently fused with Nail.
Unexplained: If Piccolo died, then Kami dies (and vice versa) because
the two were originally one; but when Daimoa died, Kami and Piccolo didn't.
- The fusion technique used by Goten and Trunks to form Gotenks is temporary
and can only last for 1/2 hour.
- The fusion technique used by Gokou and Vegeta to form Vegetto is permanent,
but the effects were cancelled out when he was eaten by Boo.
Fat Boo separated into two Boos. The evil Boo was killed and reincarnated
into Ubuu. When good Boo was killed by Vegeta-Bebi, his particles fused with Ubuu.
Life
- Granpa Gohan found Baby Gokou on Mount Paozu.
Unexplained: The Vegeta Series shows that Gokou was next to his
space pod when Gohan found him. Bardock Story shows that Gokou was found sitting
by himself in the forest when Gohan found him and that his space pod was behind
him. The Vegeta Series also shows that Piccolo finds Gokou's space pod in the
wilderness (away from where Gohan found Gokou) when he's training Gohan.
- Gokou lived on this mountain until he met Bulma. Afterwards, he moved from
place to place.
- Gokou moved back to Mount Paozu after he married Chi-Chi.
- At first, Chi-Chi wanted to name Gohan "Einstein".
- Gokou moved to Sataan City later for Gohan's education.
- Gokou and Chi-Chi never went to work.
Unexplained: How did Gokou's family (and Klilyn and Master Roshi) make a living when Gohan was growing up?
- Vegeta grew up moving place to place destroying life on planets.
- Bulma's father, Dr. Briefs, was the head of Capsule Corporation. This explains
why Bulma is so rich and why she has and knows such advanced technology.
- Trunks became the president of Capsule Corporation when he grew up.
Unexplained: What happened to Dr. Briefs?
- Nameks live on nothing but water. They do not need to eat anything to survive.
- Nameks reproduce asexually. This is shown when Daimao spits Piccolo out of his mouth.
- Android 18 is not a robot, but a cyborg (part-human, part-robotic). This
is why he was able to have a daughter, Marron.
Movies
Most of the Dragonball movies are add-ons, but they are fake.
- Movie 1 never occurred because Gohan was abducted by Raditz as soon as
he met the Z crew. Movie 1 took place where Gohan was abducted by Garlic Jr.
when he already knew Piccolo and Klilyn. If Movie 1 is false, then
Garlic Jr. doesn't exist. However, he made an appearance in the Freeza Series.
- Movie 2 couldn't have taken place because Gokou used the Kaioken technique.
Goku fought Nappa and Vegeta as soon as he learned the technique. After the
battle, he was severely injured so he couldn't have fought Dr. Wheel.
- Movie 3 should take place after the fight against Vegeta because
Gohan had the mushroom haircut, but before the defeat of Freeza because Gokou
Trunks wasn't present. If this is so, Tenshin-han, Piccolo, Yamcha, and Chauzu
should be dead. They fought in Movie 3.
- Movie 4 is also false for the same reasons as Movie 3; Piccolo should
have been dead. He appeared in Movie 4.
- Gohan has a purple baby dragon pet in Movies 3, 4, and 5.
Unexplained: The dragon just disappears and is never seen again.
Some claim that it appears again in a tournament in heaven. Gohan's pet is a creature with strong hind legs,
two short arms, and a tail. The character that appears in the tournament has
a man's body. Therefore, it is not the same dragon.
- To try to explain where Future Trunks got his sword, Movie 13 was created.
It shows that Tapion gave it to him as a gift.
Unexplained: In Future Trunks's timeline, Androids 17 and 18 were
never defeated (yet). That's why he traveled back in time. If the Androids
were still destroying everything, then Babi-di would never be able to unleash
Boo. Movie 13 takes place after the defeat of Boo.
