I Want You - Chapter 7

"So you're going to break up with Bobby?" Mic asked.

"It's not really much of a choice, ya know? With everything weighed out, I have more points on Zac's side than on Bobby's side. But-UGH! The really aggravating thing is…I really like Bobby!!"

"I don't know what to tell you. I was never in a situation like this before. All I have to say is…good luck. I have to go. See ya later." Micculla said, standing and leaving my room. I sighed and rolled over on my bed. What should I do?

My eyes shot open. I quickly sat up in my bed, leaned over the edge and looked at the clock that sat on the small table next to my bed. 3:14 am? I pulled the covers back over my head and then I heard the noise again. The noise that had waken me up before. What the heck was that? I got up out of my bed and peered out the window that overlooked the front of the house, sidewalk and street.

I opened the window. "Are you out of your mind? It's 3:00 in the morning!" I shouted in a loud whisper. "What do you want?"

Zac stood there with a hand full of small pebbles that he had been throwing at my window. He shrugged and then let the rocks fall from his hand.

"Zac! What do you want?" I asked him again.

"I, I uh, I mean…" he stuttered. I put my hand to my ear. I couldn't hear him.

"I can't hear you. What do you want?" I was getting impatient, as any normal sane person would at 3:00 in the morning.

"I want you." He said. I know that I smiled because he smiled. "I needed to see you. Ang, I really really like you, as if you didn't know that already, but, like, I needed to tell you again."

"But at three in the morning?" I asked, teasing.

"If I would have waited any longer, then I wouldn't have come at all. It was one of those things that I had to do right then or else I would have chickened out later."

"You're crazy." I mumbled and then closed my window again. I walked out of my room, down the stairs and to the front door. I opened it, and Zac walked onto the porch. I took his hand in mine and pulled him in the steps and into my room. Then I opened the window again and we both slipped out the window to sit on the roof above the front porch.

"Wait a sec…I'll be right back." I said, then went into my room again and turned on the radio. Then I returned next to Zac. "So, hi."

"Hi." He said. His hand slipped around the back of my neck, and his fingers played with my hair. Then he pulled me closer to him and our eyes met. "Do you believe in fate?"

"Huh?" I asked. Woah, where did that come from?

"Do you believe in fate?" he repeated. His eyes were like, so different looking. They weren't the eyes of my best friend Zac, they looked a lot deeper. Not so much in the color of carmal brown, but more in depth. With the stars reflecting in them, they looked more like the eyes of a secret and forbidden lover in a steamy romance novel. This was a side of him that I never saw before. But I wasn't going to complain because I liked this side of him. But I had a feeling, no, it wasn't a feeling, I knew that this side of him was only going to come out when we were alone together.

"Yeah, but I believe that it only takes you so far and then you have to do the rest." I said. His eyes were drilling into mine, the stare becoming heavier and more intense with each second. They appeared to be memorizing every line, every curve, of my face. "What about you?"

"I believe," he said, "that we were meant to be together."

I silently gasped and became a little tense. Those words were really breathtaking. "I have never ever felt like this before, Ang. And I can trust you with anything. I don't even tell my brothers everything, but I could tell you everything."

Before I could say anything in reply, he pulled me close and kissed me. He ran his fingers through my hair and gently massaged their way through the length of my hair. I was the one that opened my mouth first and slipped my tongue between his lips. He responded almost instantly and soon I was forgetting about everything around me. I was lost in the moment and leaned back with him.

Over the next few days, I found myself spending more and more time with Zac and less and less time with Bobby. Zac was under the impression that I had already told Bobby, but the truth was, I didn't tell him because I didn't exactly WANT to break up with him, but I DID want to be in a relationship with Zac! Oooh, things were getting too confusing.

It was Saturday and Zac was over at my house, as usual, and we were completely bored. We kept suggesting ideas of things to do, but we kept on refecting them, too.

"HEY! I got an idea!" Zac exclaimed with such enthusiasm that it was actually funny. I stifled a laugh.

"Let's just hope that it's going to better than you're last idea." I said, still smiling at his wackiness.

"What was wrong with my last idea?" he asked, offended.

"Well, roller blading down the street with lit roman candles attatched to my helmet doens't exactly appeal to be fun to me." I said. Then he grinned.

"But it was creative, wasn't it?"

"It's something that I would never think to do." was all that I offered. "So, what's the idea now?"

"Let's go ice skating!"

"Ice skating? Zac! It's the middle of October! Where are we going to find a frozen pond?" I asked, thinking he was out of his mind.

"I was talking about going to Ice-o-Rink, ya Stooge." he explained. Oh. Now I understand. "You really are a blonde."

"Hey!! I resent that." I joked. I couldn't help it that I was a bit ... slow sometimes. "But you know what? Ice skating does sound like fun."
