There is some doubt that Andrew Johnson is ralated to the Northups through the marriage of Myrtle (Johnson) to Archie Northup. He would be a half cousin to Myrtle's Father, Parker Samuel Johnson, as Jacob was a half-brother to Parker's Father, Isaac. This would be through a first-born son, presumably Jacob Jr. who was half brother to Isaac from their Father's first marriage in Holland. The trouble seems to be that Andrew Johnson's ancestry seems to be fairly well documented as seen in his pedigree below, and no mention is made of the Holland connection. There is always the possibility that Jacob, Jr's Mother wanted no reminder of Jacob's Father and phonied his ancestry when she moved to Tennessee.
