Joseph Northrup IV was born Oct 1689 in Milford, New Haven, Connecticut, the son of Joseph Northrup III and Miriam Blakeman. Joseph was married 20 Nov 1713 to Susanna Roberts; Milford, New Haven, Ct. They had at least seven known children.

Susanna Roberts was born 1692 in Milford, New Haven, Connecticut. She died in Ridgefield, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Eli and Mary (Mallory) Roberts.

I have a letter from Valerie Reynolds, who is descended from Joseph Northrup IV:

You have the children of Joseph Northrup IV listed. I have information on Abraham Northrup and family. Abraham fought in the Revolution and had 3 wives. He died Nov 4, 1798 in Lenox, MA. I am descended from his first wife Abigail and his son Abraham Jr. He may have fought in the Rev too- it's hard to figure out who is who since they never say Sr or Jr.
Joseph IV donated some of his land for a cemetary in what is now Ridgebury. I couldn't find his stone though nor records of Joseph in the local Ridgebury Church. There are Northrups listed there.
Susannah Roberts' s mother's surname is Mallory. I have her being born in New Haven, CT in 1685 with a baptism of July 31, 1698. I took the info from a book but it does list the New Haven Vital Statistics as its source. I haven't pursued the Roberts very much so I don't have the first hand info I do on the Northrups. There are quite a few Northrups in Salem, Westchester, NY. Abraham Sr married Abigail in the South Salem Church in 1645. That church became Presbyterian in the 1700's and has burned down, twice. Abraham Jr, was born in Salem, married in Salem and eventually moved to Saratoga, NY.
I can give you all the lineage if you wish. I had to prove the line for the DAR up to Abraham Sr.
