Charles Henry Northup was born 10/15/1880, the son of Darius and Martha Ann (Adams) Northup . He was married to Eldora Carter of Ollie, Iowa. Eldora died 5/15/1960 and Charles on 5/11/1962. They had 5 sons and one daughter. Leslie (known as Boots), Dale, Chester, Laurence (known as Dudley), Donald killed in action during the landing at Luzon, Phillippines. The girl was named Ruth. All the boys lived and stayed around Ollie, Ia. Eldora was a descendant of Mathias Moore Carter. Artie Mae Carter born 5/4/1889 married Eldon G. Coghlan on 9/6/1911. Eldon was born 10/3/1889. They lived in Wyoming most of their married lives, then moved to Whatcheer, Iowa, Keokuk county in early 60's. Eldon was a cowboy who lost his right leg below the knee in a roping accident. Both now deceased and resting in the cemetery south of Whatcheer. Their son Warren and wife Dorothy are also deceased, living a son named Ronnie who lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Isaac (Ike) Arthur Northup 10/6/1887 died in 12/8/1954 he was married on 8/26/1903 to Manda Myrtie Carter born 4/27/1885 who died 8/9/1918.

In the words of Laurence Northup Jr.,
I believe he was my grandpa Charley's brother and I remember him telling me about "uncle Ike". I think we are attacched to the Ohio branch. Somewhere I heard that our branch of Northups came on the Mayflower from England but I have no confirmation of that.
