Notes for DAVID NORTHUP:

Note - John B. Northup (1998): David Northup and Susannah Congdon are reported by Ansel Judd Northrup, the author of the Northrup/Northrop Genealogy, to have been the parents of Stephen Northup, who he says was the father of Joseph Northup, who he says was the father of Stephen Northup, who he says was the father of Solomon Northup. Since it is becoming quite evident that Solomon had at least four brothers: Benedict, Joseph S., Ransom, and Warren, it is quite possible that these lines have been connected back to the original Stephen. The information was contained in a letter (23 Feb 1909) to Lizzie Northup Avery, a descendent of Solomon, and it did not contain any corroborating information. A search for Ansel's papers continues.

Information from Jane Kern lists David and Susannah's children as David, Stephen, Benjamin and Robert. This could very well open the door to insight on David's descendents (19 Aug 1993).
