Diana Jean (Northup) Morkassel was born the 6th of 12 children to Vyron and Helen Northup on August 19, 1945. She graduated from High School in Bemidji, Minnesota in 1963, and went to Theif River Falls for Beauty School at the Vocational Technical Institute there. She met Paul Morkassel during this time, who was a farmer from Warren, Minnesota. They were married in ?? and raised 4 sons. They farmed for a time and then Paul rented the farm out to a good friend and neighbor and later, after Diana got her Master Gardener's at Crookston, they went into the greenhouse/nursery business. The oldest son Alan, helps them out there and lives in the old farm-house. They live in a new smaller rambler in the orchard. Paul and Diana Morkassel's page is under construction.
