died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, in Fort Worth. 
Graveside service: 1 p.m. Friday in Blodgett Cemetery. 
Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Bates-Cooper Funeral Home.

Billy Hatfield was born Sept 16, 1931, in Keo, Ark. 
He was a veteran of the Navy, a member of the Church of Christ. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton and Josephine Ryals Hatfield; brother, Carlton Eugene Hatfield. 
Survivors: Wife, Peggy Scott Hatfield; sons, Stan Hatfield and wife Lisa, Brian Hatfield and wife Carrie Hatfield; 
daughter, Teri Hatfield-Lusty and husband Doug; sister, Mary Frances Buchanan; and eight grandchildren.
