Dan A. Gunn, 71, passed away at his ranch in Energy Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Hamilton. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Riley Funeral Home. 

Memorials: St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Hamilton. 

Mr. Gunn was born Sept. 26, 1933, in Borger, the son of Charles Norwood Gunn. 
He graduated from Amarillo High School in early 1952 and graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1956. 
From there he served in the Air Force, obtaining his pilot experience.

He retired from Frontier Airlines after 29 years. 
He was an avid cattle rancher and a member of the Texas Cattleman's Association.

On April 4, 1970, he was united in marriage to Elaine Daniels Irby. 
She preceded him in death March 8, 2004.

Survivors: Daughter, Jennifer Amanda Gunn of Lake George, Colo.; 
sons, Clay Irby of Midland, Randy Irby of Springtown, Terry Lee Irby of Fort Worth, Thomas Miles Irby of Energy and Kenneth Shertzer of Justin; 
mother, Martha Marchbanks Gunn; six grandchildren; sister, Amma Lynn Jones of Cleburne; 
brother-in-law, Jack Joe Daniels of Big Sur, Calif.
