The purpose of this page is to provide all Atari ST/Falcon users some basic utilities for handling those packed files you download from the Net or your local BBS.
Zip files are the most common type you encouter at the download/ftp site. Get STZip26 for processing those files.
LHA files can be extracted using LHA310 .
MSA disk image files are also very popular type of archive in Atari world. MSA II 3 is a program you want for hanling these.
Many sites provide Atari software with ST file extension. This is a disk image file for use with Atari ST emulator eg PacifiST. You can write ST files back to a normal Atari ST disk using STtoDSK.
There are also other types of archives. For example ARC, ARJ and GZip, and you can find Atari version of any of those packers by browsing a couple of Atari FTP sites.
Hopefully this saves some Atari user from some trouble.
Rest of this page is dedicated for some LAME ST proggys I have done years ago using S.E.U.C.K. 3D Construction Kit & S.T.O.S.
You can download firST 2 games in a ZIP file by clicking here! You need an Atari ST to play them. Any TOS version should do. S.E.U.C.K. and 3D Construction Kit are both available from Little Green Desktop as full versions.
L.G.D. site can be found from my Links section. My Jaguar games page is also accessible from here!
There are many Atari ST emulators available for downloading from the net and can be found from LGD and through other links from this page. The very best one to pick is STonX, but if you don´t do Linux, you´re out of luck. Atleast Windows users should upgrade to LinuX or some other modern system anyway, unless you are after some slow & nostalgic retro computing with a DOS derived OS.
But if you do have the original Atari computer, why not use it?
