![]() His first trial was a JOKE.There was absolutly no evidense against him and he was convicted due to the fact that the judge was playing to the animal rights people who were present, along with the news cameras. Mr. Hayes decided to appeal and have a Jury trial where he feels he can get a fair trial. Mr. Hayes as added a lawyer to his defense team and they plan on having some real good expert witnesses testify for him. This is the person to fight this fight, anyone else would have probly folded by now and said to hell with it,but Johnny Hayes, along with alot more of us know that if he loses then everyone will lose, but if he wins he will be able to SUE the news media,(Channel 15 in Mobile) and reporter,(Mike Rush),for liable and slander, for the story they ran on him last year claiming he was a hog-dog fighting KING PEN,and that hog-catches were barbaric acts of cruelty. If Johnny wins or loses his case it will set a precident for other cases and will impact trials of anyone charged with similar crimes. Johnny Hayes wants to fight and he has the team to do it with the only problem is that he is finacially drained. Johnny Hayes needs our help.I plan to meet with Mr. Hayes and several other parties and lawyers next month, to refocus on fighting these charges and compiling evidense that will be used in his trial. In addition to this we plan on trying to help raise money for his legal defense team. At present Johnny needs Approx. $ 7000 for lawyers fees and expert witnesses. Mr. Dan Moody, owner of Four Seasons Hunting Ranch in TX has donated a free,Trophy Boar Hunt to be raffled off to help with legal expenses. You do not have to be present to win. Anyone who is interested in helping Click here to pay with a credit card through Paypal. Or you can send a check or money order through this link. Or you can send donations to; Johnny Hayes legal defense fund C/O Gilmore and Gilmore Attorneys at Law P.O. box 729 Grove Hill, AL 36451-0729
