Why does everyone automatically assume that it was me who blew up the command centre?!? I mean, I didn't even know there was a command centre until just recently. Jeez...
I met my first crew member today. She (yes, she) was able to give me a little more information about this whole thing. Let me see if I can remember a little.
Apparently there's this really big government organisation that nobody knows about (well, no surprises there, I guess) and they've discovered a world out there that they've nicknamed 'Alcatraz', supposedly because it's a barren rock. However, it has plenty of minerals and is the source of some kind of energy that Vaughan's company needs, or something like that. I don't know what kind of energy, though, and I think I'd rather not find out. The air is supposedly unbreathable, and there's no native life there.
Christine Smith (that's the crew member I met; she's a science officer apparently) and Acheron both claim that there was an unscheduled transmission going out round about the time of the explosion, sent by a guy called Ransom. Hmm. I wonder if the two are connected...
Nah, probably not. But Christine has a friend called Ducky (is that an actual NAME??) who might be able to help us find out.
