Hey, minna! Well, I finally got a copy of Truely Madly Deeply by Savage Garden, and the urge was too great. I couldn't resist! I had to write a songfic. It's too much of an awesome song. BTW, before I start.. Seiya didn't write TMD. Savage Garden did. So don't sue me, 'kay? I have absolutely no money. ^_^;; I hope you enjoy this! *~!~**~!~**~!~**~!~* Truely Madly Deeply *~!~**~!~**~!~**~!~* Seiya chewed on the eraser of his pencil, staring down at a piece of paper on his desk. He didn't know where to go next with the song he was trying to write. Finally, he sighed, and pitched it into the trash. "Okay," he muttered. "Let's try this again." He ripped a new piece of paper out of his notebook and began to write. He needed a good song to sing at next week's concert, and he also wanted a way to confess his feelings to a certian someone. Unfortunately, that certian someone would be very diffucult to get to go to the concert. The sun went down, and Seiya was still stuck on the lyrics. He thought hard about Hiei, trying to think of a way to express his feelings about the Koorime. He was drawing a definate blank, and THAT wouldn't do him any good on stage!! With a scowl, he crumpled yet another piece of notebook paper and threw it into the trash can. This was just too much work. He wasn't having problems thinking of lyrics in school, and yet in his free time he was damned if he could think of anything. Yet another piece of notebook paper was ripped out of the binder. An angry scowl on his face, Seiya glared at it, willing the words to come to him. When they didn't, he just about threw the whole notebook out the window. It was a good thing he didn't, however, because there was someone sitting on the sill. "What're YOU doing?" asked a deep voice. Seiya jumped about ten feet and turned to the window. "Hiei?" he asked. "Yeah," was the reply. Hiei jumped off the sill and walked over to him. "I felt your aura flare and wondered if you were being attacked or something." Seiya blushed. "No, sorry. No fights here. I'm trying to write a song." "Oh?" Hiei looked over Seiya's shoulder at the piece of paper on the desk. "Um.. Seiya.. the paper is blank." "I know," Seiya replied through clenched teeth. "That's my whole problem!" Hiei raised his hands and took a step back. "Sorry," he said. "I'll leave you to your writing." With a blur of misplaced air, Hiei was gone, and Seiya felt even worse. He put his arms on his desk and put his head on them. "Baka, baka, BAKA!" he cursed himself. "I am such an idiot!" Of course, there was no answer. Nobody was around to hear. Yaten was out with Kurama, as usual, and Taiki was studying with Ami at the library. Again, as usual. Same old same old. He wearily lifted his head and looked down at the paper. He let the melody and harmony he'd come up with run through his head, trying to find words to match the melody. Finally, his eyes lit up as he started to think of the right words to fit the song. He wrote quickly, afraid to loose the lyrics, and when he was finished, he read it over, singing it softly to himself. He smiled happily and hugged the piece of paper to his chest. It was PERFECT. Certianly, Hiei couldn't ignore his feelings now! *~!~**~!~**~!~**~!~**~!~**~!~* The night of the concert.. *~!~**~!~**~!~**~!~**~!~**~!~* Seiya was almost certian he was going to have a nervous breakdown. He'd been pacing back and forth in front of Yaten and Taiki for the past hour. "Really, Seiya," Yaten said dryly. "You're going to wear a path in the floor!" "Shut up!" Seiya snapped. "I don't want any crap from you now!" He regretted the words as soon as they came out of his mouth. "Gomen nasai," he said quickly. "I'm just.. I'm so NERVOUS!!!" He stopped pacing and hid his face in his hands. Yaten stood and put an arm around his shoulders, an oddly affectionate guesture coming from him. "If you think it's a bad idea, don't sing it," he said softly. "Personally, I think Hiei will love it.." "I can't decide!" Seiya wailed. "What if he hates it? What if he laughs at me? What if he HATES me?" "Stop playing "what if"", Taiki said, rising from the couch. "All you'll do is work yourself up." Seiya uncovered his face and looked at his brothers. "Do you really think this will go well..?" "If I didn't, you'd hear about it," Yaten said with a smile. "Trust me. I wouldn't let you do something like this if I didn't think it would go well.." "Me either," agreed Taiki. "What you need to do is banish all other thoughts except the song and getting your message to him.. he'll listen." "And you're SURE he's gonna be here?" Seiya asked nervously. "Yes," Taiki and Yaten said in unison. "I told Ku-chan that you wanted him here. He was more than happy to drag him along." Yaten winked. "Don't worry, Seiya! Just sing your best, like you never have before.. it will go well." "But.." "TRUST ME." Yaten put both his hands on Seiya's shoulders and stared into his eyes. "Got it?" Seiya gulped and nodded, his heart pounding in his chest. He was REALLY nervous now. "We need to go," Taiki observed. He led the way out of the dressing room. They listened as the concert person introduced them, then went out on the stage. It was an outdoor concert, and the cool air was soothing to Seiya, who was sweating because he was so damned nervous. They played Nageriboshi ne first, then Todakanu Omoi. Taiki sang Chikara wo Awasete, and Yaten sang a song he'd written for Kurama about roses in starlight. Finally, it was Seiya's turn. He was shaking as he stepped up to the mic. "Well.. I wrote my own song, like they did.." he looked out over the crowd, which was hanging on his every word. He spotted Kurama, Yusuke, Kuwabara, Botan, Yukina, Keiko, Genkai, and even Koenma sitting together. For a minute, his heart nearly stopped, because he didn't see Hiei. Then he saw him, sitting by Kurama, nearly hidden by someone else. "Um.. well, I'm at a loss for words, I guess this is a first, ne?" Seiya asked nervously. The crowd laughed, and some of Seiya's tension melted away. "I'm gonna get on with this before we run out of time. I wrote this song for someone very special to me. I hope that this person likes my song, and understands what they mean to me.." Seiya played the opening chords, and the song began. "I'll be your dream I'll be your wish I'll be your fantasy, I'll be your hope I'll be your love be everything you need. I'll love you more with every breath truely madly deeply do, I'll be strong I will be faithful 'cause I'm counting on a new beginning, a reason for living, a deeper meaning.. I want to stand with you on a mountian, I want to bathe with you in the sea.. I want to lie right here forever, until the sky falls down on me. And when the stars are shining brightly in the velvet sky I'll make a wish and send it to heaven then make you want to cry The tears of joy for all the pleasure in the certianty That we're surrounded by the comfort and protection of the highest powers, in lonely hours, the tears devour you.. I want to stand with you on a mountian, I want to bathe with you in the sea.. I want to lie right here forever, until the sky falls down on me.. Oh, can you see it, baby, you don't have to close your eyes, 'cause it's standing right before you, all that you need will surely come.. I'll be your dream I'll be your wish I'll be your fantasy, I'll be your hope I'll be your love be everything you need. I'll love you more with every breath truely madly deeply do I want to stand with you on a mountian, I want to bathe with you in the sea.. I want to lie right here forever, until the sky falls down on me.." The music faded away, and the crowd was silent. Seiya's heart just about stopped. Nobody made a sound. He looked at Yaten, panicing, when someone started clapping. Everyone else followed suit, and within seconds, Seiya was receiving Japan's biggest standing ovation in the history of music. His eyes welled with tears of joy and he took a bow. The clapping intensified, until he thought everyone would go deaf. He stood upright again and scanned the crowd, his gaze stopping on the Reikai Tantei and friends. Kurama was clapping, a serene smile on his face. Botan and Koenma, who had adopted his teenage form, were whistling. Yusuke and Kuwabara were yelling and cheering. Hiei was nowhere to be seen. Seiya's heart sank right to his feet. He'd left, and didn't hear the song. Or maybe not. Seiya looked around more, trying to see the small Koorime, but had no luck. Later on, Seiya was crying brokenly in the Lights` dressing room. Yaten and Taiki were trying to comfort him, holding him, stroking his hair, saying soft reassurances. They were obviously not helping, because Seiya was getting worse by the minute. Hiei was still nowhere to be found. The others stood off to one side, feeling horrible for Seiya. There was nothing they could do to make the star feel better. *~!~**~!~**~!~**~!~**~!~* Back at the apartment *~!~**~!~**~!~**~!~**~!~* Seiya curled up into a ball of misery on his bed. Yaten and Taiki left him alone, figuring that if he had awhile to himself he'd get better. He was seriously considering going insane. A tapping at his window brought him out of his thoughts, and he looked up. The window was open, he didn't know why Hiei had bothered to knock. The Koorime was shocked when he saw Seiya's condition. "Seiya? What the hell happened?" he walked quickly to him and sat down on the edge of the bed. Seiya looked at him with large, luminous blue eyes that said absolutely everything. Unfortunately, Hiei was oblivious to this. "I.. my song.." he couldn't say any more. He broke into tears again, miserable, knowing that Hiei didn't love him. Hiei studied him intently. He'd known the song was meant for him, and he knew what Seiya was thinking. "Seiya.. I loved your song.." he said softly. Seiya looked up at him. "Y.. you did?" "Would I say I did if I didn't?" he asked, a half-grin playing on his lips. Seiya stared at him for a minute. "D.. do you know what I meant by it.. Hiei?" "Of course," Hiei said softly. "I don't look that stupid, do I?" Seiya bit his lip. "I.." "Hush," Hiei said softly, gathering the taller boy into an embrace. "I've been waiting for an excuse to tell you this for a long time.." He looked deeply into Seiya's eyes. "Ai shiteru, Seiya.." Seiya gazed at him for a minute, and began to cry again. Only this time, it wasn't out of sorrow. This time, it was out of joy. *~!~**~!~**~!~* The end ^_^ *~!~**~!~**~!~* Tiga Shadow http://members.xoom.com/PaladinStar TigaShadow@netscape.net There is a part 2 to this.. it's hentai. ::blush:: If you want it, you have to email me and ask me for it..
