The Queen of Spades, is a private cabaret. Some might call it a piano bar, some a jazz club, some a blues bar. This place caters to the kindred and kine alike. A master chef prepares dinner for the kine and after dark anything goes. It is elegant and well appointed.

Set up for dancing, there is a beautifully laid dance floor, a set up even a toreador could love. On the walls are beautiful prints. There are booths with high partitions for privacy or an open cabaret style of seating. There is also a bar.

The queen serves anything you might like, including a special vintage for close personal friends of the owner.. thus kindred may get there needs served as well.

The atmosphere is sultry and warm.. the walls are lined with pictures of warm places and smiling or singing jazz and blues musicians...half the week it is jazz and the other half blues..there is a marked difference in the place... on those different nights... you must come and find out what that is.

The Queen is owned by jazz/blues singer Kirya Lyric, who has recently made Seattle her new home. However, when you come to the club it is likely Dartangan that you will see. A tall handsome man, with long dark hair, a streak of grey down either temple and a black suit on. He will probably not smile at least not at you, he is very efficient and very devoted. He is the matre de and the manager... thus not irritating him is in everyones best interests.

If there is something you require that the club does not have.. discrete questions may get that for you, or they may not. However, it never hurts to ask, discretion is the key.. loud brashness will not be tolerated. It is patterned after one of the highest class speak easys that there were... with two hints of casablanca and a dash of big band, there is a band that sits in frequently.. auditions were already held. And singers may come in and display their talents but only after a private audition with Ms.. Lyric.

Fine paintings of lush greenery, dim lighting, a smoky atmosphere... many places for quiet conversations...many places for what ever it is you need... If you long for a place that is suited to sultry elegance, you will find it here...

You will find in the entrance to the club, marquees and advertisments for all the hot local scenes....the owners want to make certain you have what you need, even if you must look elsewhere to find it.
