Keris has an important talk with Liseria!

Yup, Keris decides to tell Liseria a thing or two after much going back and forth! (Unfortunately for him, she's now Lis, rider of green Alymath of High Reaches Weyr :-( But hey, the log is fun ;-)

Etoile> Etoile circles a couple of times, then disappears ::between::!

Etoile> :::BETWEEN!:::

Etoile> You hang, senseless, in the dark nothingness of ::between::... absolute darkness surrounds you, and the profound cold stings you... you wait, and count...

Etoile> Black...

Etoile> Blacker...

Etoile> Blackest...

Etoile> The Happy Harper

Etoile> You find yourself in the well-lit Happy Harper.  It seems to be perhaps one of the most cared for items of the hold.  The walls have deep-red wood panelling, and glow baskets placed at a very regular interval.  There are about six tables for eight and four booths in the corners.  All the tables and chairs seem to be of a very nice quality and very well taken care of.  Serving also as the center of social interaction at Gar hold, it is usually where one looks to find anyone.

Etoile> OOC note:  If you wish for a list of the offered drinks here, merely type 'listdrink'  and it will show you how to find them.  :)

Etoile> On the perch are Aravis, Trickster, Lacerta, Bruin, Ray, Valiant, Cute One, Chakotay, Brisbe, and Hawk.

Etoile> You see Firelizard Feeding Tray, Wine Tray, and Dartboard here.

Etoile> You notice Zhylh, Kavell, Iishya, Casch, Eltanin, and Caelan asleep here.

Etoile> Liseria is here.

Etoile> Obvious exits:

Etoile> Kitchen     Entry Hall

Etoile> Etoile suddenly appears from ::between:: with a chirp.

Etoile> Liseria looks up from her mug of klah and sweet-roll, peering up through her brows at Etoile. The blue is given a faint grin, but that's all.

Etoile> Etoile chitters to Lis, recognizing her as the girl with that tantalizing green.

Etoile> Liseria quirks a wry smile in Etoile's direction. "If you're looking for Jai, she's 'round here somewhere." Perhaps Lis is little cynically in her appraisal of the male mind today.

Etoile> Etoile chirps in an almost sighing motion, settling for a perch. No way he'll chase around the Hold for some green female, how intriguing she might be. If she's interested, she'll come to him, yup.

Etoile> "Lazy men..." Lis mumbles under her breath as she watches Etoile. "Think he'd actually bother to /look/ for her." But the girl goes and summons her green anyway - yes, she's a bit of a softy.

Etoile> Jaibyrd flows in a liquid motion of wings in from the Kitchen.

Etoile> Etoile squeals as the green glides in, raising his wings in greeting. His!

Etoile> Jaibyrd saunters with the air of a gold, twitching her wingsails in the barest motion of flight. Etoile gets a casual glance at first, but soon a warm warble trickles from the green's throat.

Keris stops in the doorway, frowning as his eyes sweep the room, stopping at a certain girl.. "Lis!" He smiles slightly, making his way towards her. "We have to talk.."

Liseria shakes her head disapprovingly at her green's infatuation, engrossed in the wonderful life of firelizards when who should appear but Keris. "Keris!" the girl replies. "We do?"

Keris nods. "We do.." He looks around the room again. "Outside," is said in a lowered voice, the StarCrafter walking back towards the door. "Coming?"

Liseria sighs, a protest dying on her lips as she reluctantly stands. "Fine..." She walks quickly towards the door, following Keris.

You go to the Crystal Bridge.

Crystal Bridge

Below you bubbles the slow, clear waters of Crystal River.  The sound drifts up to your position upon the almost delicate appearing, yet very sturdy bridge that crosses it.  With the exception of the foot boards themselves, the rest of the bridge is covered in a medium red paint.  The rails are fashioned with intricate patterns, sometimes engraved, sometimes cut clear through.  Over the bridge is a carefully crafted and supported cover with a rock shingling to protect the bridge.  The bridge arches gracefully through the air giving you a beautiful view of all around you.

  It is an autumn afternoon.

To the east, you see one person.

Obvious exits:

Gar Gardens     Forest Path

Liseria walks quietly, skirt swirling about her ankles, in from the Gar Gardens.

Keris perches himself on the rail of the bridge, patting next to him.

Liseria lets out another sigh, resolutly plunking herself next to Keris on the rail as if she were doing something unpleasant, to be done and finished as soon as possible.

Keris plays idly with the rail for a few moments, trying to figure out how to proceed. "I.. I have to tell you something," he finally mumbles, staring at the bridge under him rather than her.

"Oh really?" Liseria asks drily, none too considerate of Keris' obvious discomfort. Her arms fold over her chest as she waits for whatever it is; she's steeled for bad news.

Keris manages to look up at her for a few seconds. Ah well, he's not that brave.. "Well.. while you were at Keroon I was kinda.. you know.. with Lei." His expression turns really uncomfortable after these words, even though he didn't actually do anything /wrong/. Well, considering what he could have done..

Liseria nods her head slowly with a nuetral, "Uh-huh." She doesn't seem too affected or emotional. "And now you're /madly/ in love with her, hmm?" Her eyes fix on Keris face, even is she can't watch his eyes.

Keris slumps his shoulders. He was expecting a reaction; a punch, an outburst. This is bad.. "No!" is exclaimed to her question, the StarCrafter squirming uncomfortably. "No.. actually, we-eh.. she told me yesterday that we couldn't be together. Me and her," he adds quickly, "not.. err.." He gulps a few times. "I love her," he continues slowly, "but I'm not in love with her.. I think.. I mean I know.. I think I know.. oh, shells!" He jumps off the rail and begins to pace the bridge.

Liseria rolls her eyes as the fusilage of interjections hits her, trying to pick something usefull out of his speech. "So, you love her..." she begins, having understood that much. "But you're not /in/ love with her..." This time she's a little more tactful, now that she's sent the boy into a pacing fit.

Keris nods, stopping his pacing in front of her. "Yes, that's right," he mumbles, placing a hand on either side of her on the rail. "I'm.. I'minlovewithyou!" The last words come out in a blur, the StarCrafter blushing feriously.

Liseria lets out a sound somewhere between a squeak and a firelizard cheep, nearly toppling over backwards on the rail. "You're... you're in /love/... with me?" she asks as soon as she gets her balance back, eyes wide and incredulous peers at Keris.

Keris tries to decide between smiling and looking humble, not really sure which would have the best effect. "Um, yeah," he mumbles, ending up with looking crushed. "Just punch me now if you want and get it over with," he sighs.

Liseria laughs - a giddy giggle - at Keris' mumbled affirmation. "Punch you?! Hah, I should..." the word is lost in another giggle as she wraps her arms around Keris for a hug.

Keris almost jumps as she hugs him. Thank Faranth she didn't punch him at least.. "Yeah, it'd probably do me good," he says, managing a grin as he hugs her back tightly. "So.. you're not mad at me?"

Liseria leans back, still peering curiously up at Keris. "Nope. Unless I've got a reason to...?" One brow goes up quizzically, not quite accusingly - yet.

Keris tries a smile, one of those with dimples and teeth and all. "Hmm, none I can think of.." Of course, he has a very short memory when it comes to things he should feel guilty about..

"Which means, 'There's probably a few but I'll wait until she can't hurt me very badly to tell her', right?" Lis glances up innocently at Keris, mouth curling into a wry grin.

Keris chuckles, too relieved even to look ashamed. "Yup," he admits, winking at her. "But, uhm.." His expression becomes serious once again. "What do you think of.. all this?"

Liseria hmms? sotfly, head tilting to the side. "All this? Why, I think it's wonderful!" Her face splits from it's wry smile into an elated, beaming grin. She'll even forget that little 'Yup'.

Keris smiles brightly. "Really? I mean, honestly??"

"Really and honestly," Lis assures him with another smile and a nod of her head.

Keris grabs her waist and swings her around on the bridge, trying not to fall in the water in the process.

Liseria giggles in sheer giddly-girl delight, throwing her head back in dizziness as she's twirled around - eyes closed as the world's spinning is a bit too much for her.

Keris giggles too, stopping before something serious happens. Seriously bad, that is. "Hmm, so what do we do now?" he asks, still a firm grip around her waist.

Liseria frowns thoughtfully, shrugging in her total lack of ideas. "I dunno... Probably nothing, since we're still both apprentices." Another unsavory truth that seems to be getting in the way.

Keris grimaces. "Hmm, thanks for reminding me. I meant right now," he chuckles.

Liseria slides her fingers up Keris' arm idly, innocently peering at the ground. "Oh, I guess I dunno either..."
