We have seen quite a few changes in our labels through the years. This label shows the logo and design we used on our first release wines. This particular label is from our 1991 Napa Valley "Little Blackbird", a Bordeaux-style blend made from our Estate vineyard. This same design and color scheme was used on our 1991 Napa Valley Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

We used the "White Label" on our red wines from the 1992 and 1993 vintages
We used the "Orange Border" label on our 1994 red wines and our 1995 Napa Valley "Little Blackbird" Estate Merlot. A modified version has been used on 2 of our other red wines; the 1995 Vindicator red blend and the 1996 Knight's Valley Old Vine Zinfandel.
This label has become a packaging mainstay for us. It was first used on the 1995 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and our 1995 Napa Valley "Blood of Jupiter" Estate Sangiovese. It is a more glossy label than most of the previous versions and it brings back the use of gold foil as an accent. The bird portion of this label is often referred to as "Phoenix in Flight".
