I started this page around October 1997. Initaly, it consisted of my Liberal and general fun page. I quickly realized this was not enough and added my feminist, democrat, GLBT Buffy and Nirvana pages in that order. As I became more profficent in HTML. I added a search engine and webrings page. I am trying to update the site in a more timely manner/ remove dead pages and components I am no longer that interested in updating for a multitutde of reasons.
This page is a general information and search engines page. It contains a list of my likes and dislikes (sorry boys, I'm taken!!)as well as some search engines.It has gone through several incarnations, and is likely to see more as I have been tempted once again. The prospect of stressful finals tends to make me go HTML crazy.

Although I was born in Texas, I spent my formative years in Colorado. The Littleton shooting hit very close to home. Unlike my first copy, I felt compelled to explain my placement of this fragment. I do not intend to glorify death in Denver or the surrounding area (...I'm attracted to the notion Denver is lonely for her heroes (women included!!)
So many people assume the 1950's were just a period of complacency. In the rush to
highlight Ike and Father Knows Best, the stirings of a new counterculture is
overlooked. The civil, women's and GLBT equality movements have roots in this decade.
Although Ginsberg and other beats were not Liberal in the sense we think of it, they
paved the way for others.
Although it's fairly obvious I'm a Liberal Democrat, I will listen to opposing viewpoints as long as they are civil. It hasn't matched the hate level of some other sites, but I do occasionaly get the rabid conservative letter. I reserve the right to keep/delete all Emails and/or guestbook entries deemed offensive. I will continue to appreciate those who have respectfuly agreed to disagree with me on one or more (usualy political) issues. Kind enteries and/or emails are always welcomed. I will try my best to return the favor (usualy through a guestbook)although time and resource constraints can hinder this. My general email account is acting kind of funky lately, so this also could account for any delays.
