ZACK L. GOUGE

ELIZABETHTON -- Zack L. Gouge, 53, Powder Branch Road, Rt. 4, died Saturday morning in Carter County Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

He was a native of Linville, N.C., and a son of the late Rosler C. and Edna McGuire Gouge.

Mr. Gouge was employed as a truck driver for Tri-State Container and a member of Slagles United Methodist Church.

He was a Korean conflict Army veteran and a member of Capt. Lynn H. Folsom VFW Post No. 2166.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. LaVerne Barnette Gouge; two sons, Ralph Gouge, Air Force, Sumter, S.C., and Mark Gouge, of the home; one daughter, Jennifer Gouge, of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Mae Hyder, Elizabethton, and Mrs. Kate Barrett and Miss Peggy Gouge, both of Columbia, S.C.; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Hathaway-Percy, Sunset Chapel, is in charge.
