The Northern Lights Amateur Radio Club was started in March of 1996. It covers the towns of Seward, Moose Pass, Hope, and Cooper's Landing. The club's meetings are every first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 P.M. at the Bear Creek Volunteer Fire Department just outside of Seward, Alaska. All those interested in Amateur Radio may attend the meetings. You do not have to be a licensed operator. Most of the meetings are now being used to hold classes about Amateur Radio, which are quite helpful for those looking to get a license or to upgrade their license. The club is currently working on getting their repeater fixed and increasing it's membership.
