The page of mysteries

I don't have any baby pictures for you, but I can tell you a bit about the person with whom I'm going to spend the rest of my life. Pam comes from an Acadian French background, which meant that when we got to know each other, we learned not only our personal likes, dislikes and details, but a whole other set of customs and values.
Pam's line of work is Child Care. She was doing a degree in Child and Youth Studies at Mount Saint Vincent in Halifax before we moved here to Edmonton. She was finished her third of four years; however, she opted to accompany  me while I do my Ph.D. at U of A. Pam would be good at a great many different disciplines, but watching her interacting with young children leaves me with no doubt that if she ever decided to persue a different career, we would be experiencing a huge loss.
Let me give you an example: For the last three days, after just arriving in a new city, she has been ravaging the craft stores to accumulate felt so that she can sew felt hand-puppets for her young cousins and even my Ph.D. supervisor's new baby.
