The following talks will be held on the following dates :-.
30.6.1998 - The Health Care Society will be giving a presentation on
Diabetes.
Speaker for the day was Dr Soh Chau Peng, a pediatrician with the Malacca
General Hospital for the last 5 years. His topic was thalassemia, a
hereditary blood disease that causes anemia. The issues
discussed were how the disease affects the hemoglobin of those affected,
types of the disease, and the various types of treatments for the disease.
Rtn Eddie Tee announced that the Club's Charter Night will be held on 22 August 1998 at the new Equatorial Hotel with a cost of RM350.00 nett per table.
DGSR PP Albert Goh has reminded all members that the Extraordinary General Meeting to adopt the Club's logo will be held on Tuesday, 23 June 1998.
DGSR PP Tay Loo Wee has reminded all members, who have not completed
the survey done on the reasons for the Club's poor attendance, to extend
their cooperation by completing and returning the survey to Rtn Manimaran
as soon as possible to expedite the matter of deciding the appropriate
day and time for the Club to have its meeting.
Club Treasurer, Rtn. Charlotte reminded members to pay up their club
dues.
