WHY DO THEY CALL ME "Gaps" YOU MAY ASK?
Well it is plain and simple! I am missing my top two front teeth(pic on the ME Page), which occured while I was
playing baseball about 6 years a go now!! I was playing outfield(told the coach I didn't want to, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOO why listen to ME?), and I was running in
for a shallow fly ball, and the second basemen was running out, and BAAAAAAM my face collided with his rib cage. I didn't feel a thing,
cause I was knocked out instantly, but when I came to, that is another story. But I do wear a plate so you can't tell that I don't
have those teeth! I had my teeth put back in the day of the accident, but complications occured in the summer of '96, and now I have to get implants!! Word of advice, NEVER let this happen to you, it gets VERY costly, let me tell ya!!!
Oh, just incase you were wondering, I DID catch the ball, but dropped it when we collided. I was told that I spun in the air 2 times before hitting the ground. I do remember catching it, then the next thing that I recall was, sitting up with everyone around, and my mouth bleeding like crazy. EEK! There is
some humour to this. When I was at the hospital laying on a bed in a total daze. I had me teeth in a gaze, and I had them on me chest, and the nurse came in a threw the gaze in the garbage. I told her that me teeth were in there. You should of seen the look on her face....I tried not to laugh, cause hit hurt like a son of a gun!! Then another
stupid thing I did that day in the hospital was when me parents got there, and I started to sing "Alls I want for Christmas is my two front teeth". Man I never thought laughing could hurt so damn much!!
Well, yet for another update.........I finally, yes I said FINALLY got me two front teeth on October 4th, 1998!! After being without teeth for about 20 months, I have them in, and boy do I love smiling now. I've lost the nickname "Gaps", and I'm now called "Smiley"! haha It was very nerve racking when I went for surgury because there were 10 other doctors in the room watching the surgury. But hey I survived!!
