I wrap my arms around her.
I hold her safe and warm.
So gently I protect her
Sweet delicate young form.

She is like a tender snowflake.
Perfect and unique.
Shining with beauty
And oh so fragile and so weak.

But snowflakes melt.
They die and fade away.
I keep trying to catch them,
But I can't make them stay.

So I wrap my arms around her.
And with the smallest sigh
I drink from her pale throat.
And watch her die.
